Summary:
Four bedrooms, eight beds and room for up to eleven: a room with three single beds, a king room, a double room, a twin room, and a sofa bed for two in the living room. There are two full bathrooms and a separate WC, so a group can get ready together. The house is on a quiet street with free parking alongside and a back garden with a patio. Farnworth station is about 3 minutes on foot, with direct trains to Bolton and Manchester Victoria.
The Space:
Sleeping
Bedroom 1 (ground floor): 3 singles.
Bedroom 2: UK king-size bed, 150 cm wide (about the size of a US queen).
Bedroom 3: UK double bed, 135 cm wide (about a US full).
Bedroom 4: 2 singles.
Living room: sofa bed sleeping 2.
Bedroom 1 is downstairs and the other three are upstairs. Every room has wardrobe space and hangers, and beds are made up in fresh linen, with spare pillows and blankets on hand.
Bathrooms
Two full bathrooms, both upstairs, plus a third toilet in its own small room, so a group of eleven isn't left waiting.
Kitchen and dining
Dishwasher, fridge-freezer, oven, microwave, coffee machine and kettle, with cookware, bakeware, crockery and cutlery for the whole group. The dining table seats everyone.
Living
A comfortable living room with a TV, where the sofa bed is. It's a good place to gather after a day on site or a day out in Manchester.
Outside
An enclosed back garden with a patio and outdoor seating.
Everyday practicals
Wi-Fi, a laptop-friendly workspace, laundry machines (washer and dryer) by the front door, an iron, a hair dryer, central heating with a boost button in the hallway, and smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. Bins are colour-coded at the back, and we explain them in your arrival message.
Travelling with children
Children are welcome, and there are children's books and toys in the house. There is no cot at the moment; please bring a travel cot if you need one.
Pets
Pets are not allowed at Darley Grove.
Good to know
Trains pass along the line at the back of the house, and you may hear them from the rear bedrooms at night. Please keep noise down from 9 pm until 7 am for the neighbours.
Guest Access:
The whole house is yours. Self check-in is by lockbox from 4 pm, with the last arrivals at 9 pm, and departure is by 11 am. Parking is free on the street: there's space for two cars along the side of the house and a further one or two opposite.
The Neighborhood:
Farnworth is a residential town in the borough of Bolton, with supermarkets and takeaways close by. Walking: Farnworth station 3 minutes, and Moses Gate Country Park, with lakes, woods and riverside paths, about 14. Driving: Bolton town centre 9 minutes, the Trafford Centre (shopping, cinema and restaurants) 14, Middlebrook Retail Park and the Toughsheet Community Stadium, home of Bolton Wanderers, 18, and Manchester city centre about 21, for concerts, football and a day of sightseeing.
Getting Around:
Trains from Farnworth, a short walk from the door, run straight to Bolton and to Manchester Victoria. Drivers can join the M61 within a few minutes, and Bolton station and the Royal Bolton Hospital are each about 7 to 8 minutes away.

You choose either a Damage Deposit of £350 (your card is saved and nothing is taken up front; it can only be charged for a claim SafeGuest approves after check-out) or SafeGuest's No Deposit fee of £40 (a one-off fee paid to SafeGuest). We recently stayed at this 4-bedroom property and had a wonderful experience. The house was spacious, clean, and well-maintained throughout. Each bedroom was comfortable with plenty of storage, making it ideal for both families and groups. The living areas were bright and welcoming, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed.The property had a warm and homely feel, yet offered modern touches that made our stay very comfortable. It was also in a convenient location, close to local amenities and transport links. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would not hesitate to recommend it to others looking for a comfortable and well-presented place to stay.

When we arrived there was pipe leaking in the ceiling and no heat or hot water. Though they sent maintenance out to fix it and left space 2 heaters (for 4 bedrooms), we had to have various members of our party sleep elsewhere to have heat and hot water. My husband and I stayed as the maintenance was coming back at 8am, which they did and they tried to find the problem but were not able. They did get the heat and hot water to work though, and took the first nights charges off the bill, but this was not the best way to start a vacation. The house itself was as it appeared in pictures. The kitchen was well appointed with most things needed, the decor was nice, the rooms spacious and 2.5 bathrooms was welcomed with 8 travelers. The location was great for our needs.We had one more leak before the end of our stay (night not refunded for this one since heat and hot water still working and they told us not to worry about it and continue to use water) but I feel assured that will be sorted as soon as we left. If you need to be in this area, this is a great space for a family or friends to get together.
