Very quaint little spot. The host was very interested in us having a good stay

Priestranný, čistý apartmán kde sme sa cítili ako doma. Nič nám nechýbalo. Blízko Billa, Lidl, detské ihrisko. Bezplatné parkovanie sobota-nedeľa. Veľmi sme s deťmi ocenili zatemňovacie rolety na oknách.

Spacious and very clean apartment, nicely furnished with a well-equipped kitchen and a wide selection of kitchenware. Everything felt tidy and well-maintained. The host also showed us a free parking spot nearby, even though the listing says street parking is paid, that was a pleasant surprise.

Firstly, the stairs leading to the apartment are extremely steep, and there isn’t even a handrail to hold onto. We were traveling with an elderly person, and it was quite difficult for her. I saw the host mention in other reviews that «everything is shown in the photos”, but that's not true, out of 20 pictures, not a single one shows those stairs clearly. Secondly, we were not informed that the apartment uses a boiler for hot water, so you have to be careful when using it. There were four of us, two people took a shower, and then the hot water ran out. My husband had to rinse shampoo from his hair using freezing cold water. Thirdly, the early check-out time (by 9 AM) felt a bit strict. The host points out that it's stated in the listing, but when you're booking while tired or in a hurry, it's easy to miss. 9 AM is earlier than the standard 10 AM, and when we asked for just 30 extra minutes (since our grandmother had to wait for her bus), the host refused, saying the cleaner arrives exactly at 9. This lack of flexibility felt unnecessarily rigid and not very guest-friendly. Fourthly, while the apartment itself was nice, our impression of the host wasn't great. As soon as we entered the apartment (before climbing the steep stairs), the host asked us to take off our shoes. He offered slippers, but I personally don’t feel comfortable wearing someone else’s. I had to open my suitcase on the spot just to get mine out, which was quite inconvenient. I don’t see the issue with going up the stairs in the shoes and removing them once inside, especially if there’s a cleaner coming later anyway. The check-in was also slow, the host doesn’t speak English very well and instead of taking a photo of our ID, he wrote everything down by hand, even though we arrived late and just wanted to freshen up. Lastly, the towels provided were really poor quality — not like towels at all, more like some kind of cloth or rag. I’d recommend bringing your own.
