Great central location.
I misunderstood the photos and thought it was either a sofa but that was my mistake. A group of other visitors behaved noisily but that is not the fault of the owner.

Easy to access
Paid parking all around so it’s abit annoying to have to pay £10 per day on top of the booking. Also the shower isn’t the best it doesn’t get warm and it’s not convenient.

The 'hosts' were awful. It was a cold, wet, horrid night.
a) it was difficult to ascertain the correct door (from outside). It was still cold, wet, dark.
c) a kind person explained that he could let me in past the outer door, but no further.
d) The code 'they' sent for the outer door didn't work.
e) the code 'they' sent for the inner door didn't work.
f) 'Assistance' from 'host'? A joke - 'we sent you everything'.
'Could you resend it ?' No response.
g) They accused ME of being 'rude' because I messaged that I was old and disabled. I don't have to consult a law book to know that I have a right to state disability: mobility difficulties, hearing impairment. I am not mentally impaired. I'm a retired lecturer. I've stayed in accommodation all over the world. This was the worst experience yet (even bearing in mind that dishonest person in Norfolk who accused us of bad behaviour because we said the house had leaking pipes, trash in the yard, awful nylon bed-sheets, and an unwelcoming, hostile host. ). Perhaps booking.com could put the Norfolk thief-and-liar in touch with the Friar Liar. They might have matters to discuss.
Most accommodation is fine. I accept a satisfactory standard, with hosts who don't treat me like dirt, as if to say: 'We got your money. That's our bit done. We have no further responsibility. Why is an old disabled woman out in the cold and wet and dark on her own? Should she not be in bed? or dead?'
Actually, I went to see comic Bridget Christie at Royal Centre. Like me, she is clever, Irish, feminist, witty.
Luckily, despite Friar Lane's débacle, I was not late. Afterwards, fed-up of getting no help from frosty Friars, I went home (several miles away).
Perhaps I could have told Bridget a Robin Hood 'joke'?
- How was 'Friar Tuck?
- 'No, I didn't get tucked in, or tuck in, at this Friar Lane kip.

Only the location
The room the lack of cleanliness the noise every morning from 7.30am drilling shouting. No windows that opened no sunlight cold room even with heating on. Temperamental hot water. Dirty filthy cups. Pictures advertised are nothing like the dark dingy rooms. Crumpled bedding and curtains hairs on pillow. No toilet brush in the freezing cold bathroom. Hard rough towels. The codes were not working when we got here was given the wrong room number wrong building room 20 mins to get in after someone let us in who was infact in the room we was allocated. Then another 20 mins to get into the right building whilst on the phone to someone helping. No sockets by the sides of the bed which I needed for my cpap machine.i had to unplug the TV plug it in there abs sleep at the other end of the bed having to move the bedside cabinet to place it on.
Overall the worst stay anywhere it was like staying in prisoner cell block H.
I wrote to Katie yesterday and still waiting on a reply

The room was fine,
warm and comfortable,
shower ok
Unfortunately there was a lot of banging of doors and noise from other rooms. The keypad to the main door wasn't easy to use and in fact after a few tries it locked me out and I had to wait about 10 to 15mins before I could try again.

It’s tired and very basic yet is described as deluxe

Great location in front of the castle and very good value for money. The lads loved the arcade game in the room.

Water temperature in shower not warm enough

Host was very approachable and easily provided all information over call.
When I was struggling to enter the property, host helped and even changed the code for easy access.
She was super supportive.
Overall room was good.
Immediately after checking in, I was checking the overall condition, which was good except the `toilet had blood stain on the floor and the shower area had body hair.
I had to clean the blood stain with soap available and flush the hair in the shower area immediately after entering.
Just to make sure the place was hygenic.

Ideal location for access to the city. Nottingham Castle literally on the doorstep. Clear instructions for access. Very comfortable bed and.... a retro games machine (which i got battered on each game so gave up!)
Only slight gripe was some slightly noisy neighbours on the floor above.

Good location, nice bed and shower facilities
Noise from people in corridors going from room to room. A better door would sort that but for the price it was okay

That it was a lovely room and close to the town centre and to where we wanted to be
The beds was very comfy .
The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that the bedding had cigarettes burns

The location was exellent! Mere steps away from the castle, right in the middle of town. There is a parking garage just around the corner so that was very easy!

The room was not at all the same as the online photos showing the room. The public hall space was loud, echoing and the people coming and going was disturbing all night long. The bathroom was a “made due” design. The room was full of dust bunnies and a pin ball machine for Moses sakes!

Great location with in walking distance to the city.
Very basic facilities. Take your own coffee and milk if you want a drink in the morning.

Cheap price and good location. Simple check in and out. Very helpful staff.
Could have done with a hand town and bath mat.
Walls were very thin, so could hear other guests.
The shower didn't get hot for more than a few seconds.
8.0 / 10.0
Location, cleanliness and facilities in the room.
Desk and chair would have been nice. No bed side lamp. Keypad door entry system. Struggled to get through both doors. Doors banging particularly in the early hours of the morning. I get it that these have to be fire doors but it might be an idea to put a sign of them asking residents to close the doors gently instead of letting them bang shut. Possibly black out curtains (for room 2) because the street lighting is very bright.

No tv remote for room 1
9.0 / 10.0
Super easy to get into, so close to the night life so perfect for going out at such a good price! The beds were super comfy! Considering it isn’t far from a nightclub you don’t hear any noise from people outside which is brilliant! We stayed on the ground floor and didn’t hear people above us, we also had a fridge which was super good and coffee and tea facilities
The only noise to be heard would be if someone came in and didn’t hold the door which is no fault of the property!

On top floor no lift!!
Bit shabby

The location was perfect. Just a short walk from everything, and when I say everything, I mean everything. The square, the shops, the castle and the train station. Even all the buses run at the end of the road, which is literally a one minute walk.
It would have been a little better if there had been a little more room. Personally, I was with a couple of the other lads in Room 12, which was right in the roof. There was no windows or anything, and as we are all over 5ft 7inches it was a bit tricky standing and have a wee in the loo. But, having said that, we only needed somewhere to rest our heads and jump back on the train home the following day. Was spot on for that.

Great location. Really clean. The arcade machine is a really nice touch.
It was noisy. From the street and the other guests in the accommodation. Sounded like a group of blokes staying there too. There is very little soundproofing. The bed was a little too soft for my liking but they can’t please everyone. It’s just my preference. There was only 1 battery in the tv remote so it wouldn’t work. I replaced them after a trip to the shop.

To spend a night, it does the job more than well. Cheap and 4 for people is more than enough.
The bathroom was a bit old but functional. Unfortunately, the next day they were fixing the lock on the main door, and by 8:30 in the morning they had already started with the sound of a drill, which was very annoying.

Great location, quite small but clean. Friendly lady on the door when we arrived. Comfortable bed 😊
Quite noisy and no hot water for a shower, did message about it but we tried what they suggested and it didn't work no hot water to sink either. To be fair to them it was 9pm they got back to me straight away. Not my much more they could have done at that time on a Saturday night.

We ended up staying at another hotel close by. When entered the room, it was unclean, bedding was damp, bathroom was not cleaned. The room smelt damp. The bathrooms smelt sickening. We were very disappointed and are requesting our money back. It was a total disaster with the poor hygiene of this room.
9.0 / 10.0
Perfect for a short group stay and it was very quick and easy to book
Top bunk mattress wasn’t the comfiest out the rest of the beds
7.0 / 10.0
The beds were comfy, and we had a good night's sleep. Even though we were right next to a pub, you could barely hear anything with the windows closed. We felt secure, and it was in a great location with tescos just round the corner and a 5 minute walk to the centre. The wifi had a strong connection and managed 3 switches and netflix.
The cups weren't clean, the kettle still had water from their previous stay. Underneath the bunk beds were previous stayers' items and looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a while. The shower was grubby, and the drain blocked, and the game machine was broken as it was missing a joystick for the selection mode.

I liked the location, the room was nice and also it was easy to get in touch and get replies from the owner.
The staircase was dirty leading to the room. How ever it didn’t effect the room or the stay.
