Castle View, 94-96 Friar Lane

like the location, the access via key pad and the games machine in the room was a bit of fun too

the neighbours was very noisey at some points and thin walls did not help

The beds are super comfy! It was a basic but nice/clean room in a good location.

Upon arrival our room did smell like someone had been smoking, however it settled when we opened the windows.

The bed , tv, all the stuff how spacious it was

The bathroom wasn’t clean, and the shower wasn’t looking that nice ,

The location. The studio for 3 people is situated adjacent to the castle with excellent views of the castle from a diagonal angle at the window. The property was like a clean cafeteria with the bare necessities

In the first studio room the shower did not work at all. After a very hot day of sight seeing this was the biggest disappointment. However after a call and several frantic messages to the owner, they changed our room. Which meant repacking cases and shifting luggage in my dressing gown up and down the stairs. There was a strange juke box in every room which in the photos looked like a writing bureau. There was no shower gel in any bathroom and no bath mats or hand towels. The bath towels provided were worn thin and dry and the colour and feel of a black dogs fur. Yuck. The stairs were steep and narrow. thank goodness we hadn’t taken much luggage as it would have been difficult to manouver luggage up the steep steps with 3 over 65 year olds
