Super lovely and helpful host! We had everything we could have needed and it was the perfect base for us. Very comfortable with great facilities and the location was perfect to access the trains into the city.

The room was cosy and tidy, with an excellent location and good communication with the host.

I stayed at “Home Away From Home” in Melbourne and had a mixed, but overall decent experience. First of all, the host deserves special recognition – absolutely 10/10. He is super friendly and helpful, even taking me to the nearest supermarket on my first day. He also regularly checks in to make sure everything is okay, which is truly exemplary. The apartment is located a bit outside the city center, but a train station is within walking distance, making it easy to get around. The accommodation consists of two guest rooms, a shared kitchen, bathroom, and living room with a flat-screen TV and a game console. The kitchen is functional and provides basic equipment. A washing machine and dryer are also available, which is very convenient.

However, my room had a few drawbacks. It faced a busy main road, so there was noticeable traffic noise. The windows were sealed and could not be opened, which made ventilation difficult. Since the sun hits the room throughout the day, it tended to heat up quite a bit. There is no air conditioning, only a fan, which unfortunately wasn’t enough to properly cool the room without fresh air.

The host was wonderful and very polite. It’s a well placed apartment with all the facilities you’d need while staying.

The water pressure was a little weak but makes sense being up on the third floor. The room does warm up quite a bit in the day but was an easy fix with a fan.
