Beautiful architecture and amazing location.

Plumbing on level three was terrible (leaky showers, no hot water) and there were no blinds on the windows facing the hallway in room 20, which meant we were constantly flooded with blinding light.

I liked that The Nunnery was easy to go to, and from, using one of Melbourne's tram routes: Route 96.

1) I was at The Nunnery when it was very cold, so I didn’t like it that the kitchen was in a detached outside room with no heating. Usually, at hostels, the kitchen/dining area is where socialising happens. But nobody stayed in the kitchen, at The Nunnery, longer than to just access and prepare their food. Socialising happens in the lounge room, which is heated. 2) I was unlucky with the guest in the bunk above mine: she was a loud snorer, so I couldn’t manage to sleep for the three nights that I was at the hostel. However, that’s the negative side of shared dorms: mostly, there are no snorers in female dorms, but there was a champion female snorer above me, at The Nunnery.
