Island View - Spacious Two Bedroom Oban Apartment with Sea Views

Well described, spacious and clean apartment. The lounge was comfortable and very attractive, with ample seating for 4 people. The kitchen had a nice big table (pull-out flap for more space) and was very well equipped and bright. The apartment is thoughtfully (e.g. shoe rack and small table in entrance) and very tastefully decorated. Having an en-suite bathroom off the "parents´" bedroom was great. The position was perfect, as we could walk to the front, shops and restaurants (Tesco & M&S Foodhall also less than 10 mins walk or very close by car). The bedrooms are on the rear (not ferry terminal side) and quiet. I didn´t hear any traffic at night at all. Communication with the host was good. Parking beneath the apartment block was very handy and although not wide, not a problem (VW Passat).

It is more "Ferry terminal view" than "Island view", although you can see bits of islands behind the terminal and the town to the left and right! As other reviewers have said, the ferry terminal is right in front of the house but not at all noisy and it´s quite nice to watch the coming & going day and night! The only problem was the beds: 2 of us slept well but one of my sons slept on the lounge floor for 2 nights as his bed was small for him (he is 190cm tall) and squashy. Our (double) mattress was also a bit saggy on the top, but I slept well anyway. The keys remain a problem: the one for the garage door got completely stuck and it took about 10 minutes to get it out (we thought we would have to leave it in there).

The property is in a fantastic location, only five minutes walk from the Town Centre, train station and ferry port, and offered fantastic views over the Bay. The interior was nicely furnished and contained everything required to make our stay as comfortable and welcoming as possible.

There's no lift to the property which may prove difficult for some guests.

Clean comfortable apartment with fabulous views over the ferry terminal. Apartment was well equipped with everything you need. Bed was comfortable, good shower and plenty of hot water. It was also dog friendly. Private parking was useful. Good communication with Tristan.

Three flights of stairs and no lift. Stairs are easy enough to climb but hard going with heavy bags. Handy to have private parking but worth noting if you have a large vehicle you may find it a tight space. We have a renault captur and it was fine for us.

Key locks all 3 locks need changing very bad impression and a problem whole stay Apartment 3 flights of stairs. Description needs to make this clear. Top floor doesnt say third floor, assumed one flight ie two storey. Sofa very uncomfortable,needs better chairs and sofa to enjoy location and stay Kingsize bedding bobbled, and cheap feeling, sheet and mattress protector too small for mattress, so kept coming off. Need deep fitting sheets. A shame descent bedding would make the stay much better. Pillows very flat, a couple of plumper pillows would be an improvement
