Good place to stay in the centre of Glasgow

For Students Only St Mungo's offers a great location, with a good gym and kitchen facilities. However, pre-checking was frustrating as my student status was only confirmed on arrival day. My room had an unpleasant smell, worse in the bathroom. Overall, decent accommodation despite these issues.

Good basic, economical accommdation.

This is student accommodation let out during the off season. The room was clean and in good condition. There is use of a kitchen, equipped with pans and crockery - that serves about six rooms each. It was good value for money if on a budget or just needing to sleep. There is also a well equipped Gym and lounge area with a pool table. It's attended all the time, and the staff were very good.

I had several reminders, and threats that my booking would be cancelled if I didn't upload ID in advance of arrival. I'm fairly precious about my ID given how easy it is to steal. I'm not sure why this is needed, as the desk is attended all the time like any other "hotel", and they have your credit card details. I intend to do a GDPR request to have them destroy my personal data. The only other thing to note is there is no TV in the room. So you need to get your own devices working to watch the news etc.

Freundlicher Empfang, ich wurde persönlich zu meinem Zimmer gebracht. Es war sauber. Das Bett/ die Matraze war ausgesprochen gut. Ich konnte alles fußläufig erreichen.

Es gab nur grelles Licht von der Decke, keine Leselampe, weder am Bett noch auf dem Schreibtisch. Das Bad war übelriechend, sodass man sich nicht gerne darin aufhalten wollte. Es gab keine Kleiderbügel im Schrank. Die Kommunikation vor meiner Anreise lief nicht ganz glatt. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt eben nicht.
