Food was exellent

Extremely noisy with immersion tank situated above bed and very noisy, (nearly all night). Really poor shower with very weak flow

Easy to find and check in. Great communication and flexibility from Sean the host (who is very nice)because I was running a bit late. Nice furniture and nautical aesthetics throughout, obviously a lot of thought was put in. Everything was clean and the room felt fresh and welcoming. The bed was really comfy. WiFi was strong. A hair dryer was provided and there were extra covering/cushions in wardrobe (bed throw came in handy.) The breakfasts were tasty,served quickly and hot. Poached eggs were good. Good selection of cereal. The TV was nice and big with a good selection. Sink in bedroom was very useful. Beautiful beach view, was lovely looking out the window as the sun came up. The room was facing the road but the traffic sound was minimal. Perfect size for a solo traveller for a couple of days.

Noise - The room is noisy from mid afternoon, not ideal when you get back from an 8 mile walk and want to unwind. I could hear everything from the beach and also the awful buskers, then the boat cafe singers which went on to 21:30. Obviously due to the location noise is expected however I felt a double glazed window or a fan to use for white noise would have helped (there was a heater but obviously not needed.) it was stuffy late afternoon but I couldn't have the window open. I had my earplugs in most of the time. No black-out curtains/blind so light came in early (would also help with the noise.) The duvet was polyester and too warm for summer, but it wasn't warm enough to not sleep with any covering, so I used the bed throw which wasn't ideal. You couldn't drink the tap water yet I was only provided with a small 500ml bottle, a water filter would have been nice, or a bigger bottle/restocks. A mini fridge for drinks and milk, there wasn't enough on the tea tray so I bought some on the way back but had to store it in a sink filled with cold water. The water pressure in the shower is really weak and it took me longer than usual to shower, I didn't feel very clean. It is also upstairs and right next to other rooms, so I was concerned with bumping into people I didn't know. I didn't really like the pre-order for some breakfast choices or the time slot allocation. I didn't think it was necessary, however I'm sure there are reasons behind it. I would have really liked to have been able to sample some local jams/honey, not the economy plastic portions Overall - I would stay here again, but in a room at the back of the property.

I didn’t have breakfast due to health I discussed with the owner on arrival so can’t comment The location is what you pay for here That’s it’s saving grace The owner I only saw on arrival and pre-departure is pretty laid back and as I just needed ‘me’time was great not to have been hassled The place only had another couple staying so using the bathroom was convenient but I wouldn’t like to stay at the height of the season The bed was comfortable Clean linen and towels Just glad I stayed when I did when the place was quiet

The price to stay reflects what you get On arrival first impression was neutral just a usual seaside B&B The place is steep and the stairs high I was on the 3rd floor at 71 with arthritis so disability here wouldn’t be catered for - I don’t think that this along with being pet and children friendly or not was advertised The fire doors heavy and banged loudly The sash window was stiff and hard to open with no safety catch The rooms are tightly packed three to a little landing Tv had poor or no reception for some time during my stay I didn’t report it The extension unit stapled to the wall didn’t give a good impression The bed so close to the wardrobe I bumped my leg but no damage done Usually places to stay have en suite (I knew when I booked I would have to share so I wouldn’t stay in the future where the room didn’t at least have a toilet) These comments are opinion and not necessarily criticism On the booking site you only get Free breakfast when actually it’s not free and free WIFI

The position was excellent. Sean was very nice and j helpful. The room was clean, and the view was lovely of the harbour. Beds were comfortable 😌

Plumbing was a bit temperamental but OK on the whole.

I didn't think to ask about parking when I booked so no permits were available when we got there. An unexpected expense, so we will need to take that into account next time.

It was right next to the beach and close to everything I needed. Sean was very friendly and made sure my stay was alright. Breakfast was also delicious!

Great Location, Great host. Had a comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend.

The only complaint was the fixed head shower but not a major issue.

Location is great - we had a fabulous sea view room that was cosy and comfortable. Sean was the perfect host and extremely friendly. Breakfast was first class!
