The property is well equipped. Free parking in a locked garage.

The apartment is old and in need of repairs. There is a distinct smell inside, typical for old buildings. The doors are creaking and squeaking. The wooden floors are cracking when stepped on. The noise coming from the upstairs neighbours is absurd. You can hear everything from them. The road in front is very busy and there is a lot of noise coming from outside. There is no elevator.

Amazing 7 night stay where we saw all the attractions of Normandy.

Location was fabulous for exploring the city and the DDay memorials. Everything in Caen was within walking distance. Also got the train to Paris for the day which was easy enough to do. Liked having the secure parking garage for the car.

Could not open the apartment on arrival and the gate fob did not work. As we arrived early Sunday morning, it was a bit of an inconvenience. I phoned the host and they were great and opened the apartment and advised to change the batteries. The smaller bedroom could of had curtains in addition to the shutters. These were small issues but would not put me off from staying there again.

We would stay here again

This well appointed appartment would comfortably accommodate 3 people (or 4 people if you do not intend to spend much time sitting down in the living area.) Both bedrooms were a decent size and the beds were comfortable. (NB The front bedroom might suffer from some traffic noise, but we actually slept in the back bedroom) The towels were lovely too. The kitchen contained basic provisions, such as tea bags, dishwasher tablets and washing machine pods. A decent boulangerie was nearby. There was free, on site parking in a garage, but this would not be suitable for a large vehicle (we have a Citroen C3 Picasso, which fit in ok). The owner's communications were fantastic and very clear. They provided useful information about points of interest in Caen and, as a result, we spent a happy hour in the local botanical gardens, which had a great boulangerie, Graines de Copains, around the corner, where we were able to sit down for our lunch.

There was only a small sofa and a bean bag in the living area. An extra comfortable chair would have been useful. If you are particularly large, you might struggle in the small toilet. However, my 18 stone, 6ft 2" husband found it to be fine. There was no toilet paper, so take your own. The tight squeeze getting into the garage!

Caen is a great location. Property great choice with added bonus of garage.

Gaining access to the property and hosts providing details were excellent. No hassle at all. The beds were very comfy and bedding clean. In a great location and everything easy to get to. Caen is a great city and lots to see. Transport on your doorstep if needed. Garage is an absolute bonus. We would definitely recommend and would love to go back.

My only one negative point is that we had no tea towel to dry our dishes. We had the dishwasher but just wanted to wash and dry up a few things on the last day before leaving. Luckily I had bought some kitchen roll so used that but didn’t think to pack a tea towel.

-Posizione centrale per visitare la Normandia -Garage come nelle recensioni: se la macchina è troppo grande non entra -Camere spaziose con tutto l’occorrente (presenza anche di elementi per eventuali bambini piccoli come il seggiolone, la vasca e il lettino) -Indicazioni per il check-in e il check-out chiare e precise -Edificio e quartiere silenzioso

-Qualche cura in più sulla pulizia. Al nostro arrivo non capivamo come mai il lavandino della cucina,l’acqua non andava giù velocemente,erano rimasti i rimasugli di cibo degli ospiti precedenti -il wc ha una stanza separata dalla doccia e dal lavandino del bagno e al nostro arrivo c’era un odore sgradevole in quanto “la stanza è cieca”. Abbiamo risolto il problema lasciando la porta della stanza del water aperta con le tapparelle abbassate e le finestre aperte del soggiorno quando non eravamo in casa.

Het appartement was netjes. Parkeren in een afgesloten garage ideaal, alhoewel het maar net ging met onze auto. De host was zeer flexibel en meewerkend en vriendelijk.

Op de foto's leek het appartement groter dan in werkelijkheid. Ook de inrichting had gezelliger gekund, maar was verder ok. De locatie viel ons echter zeer tegen. Aan een zeer drukke weg. Er was een klein balkonnetje aan de straatzijde, maar was in dermate slechte staat dat we er nauwelijks op durfde te zitten. De weg zorgt voor zoveel lawaai en stankoverlast dat je eigenlijk niet buiten kunt zitten. Als de locatie anders was geweest, dan was dit zeker een optie om nog een terug te komen.

Gute Basis für die Erkundung der Normandie

Die Ferienwohnung liegt im Stadtteil Vaucelles, von dem aus man in 15 Minuten bequem in die Innenstadt laufen kann. Sie ist schlicht, aber gut ausgestattet. Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Die Betten sind bequem. Die Vermieter, France und Adrien, haben den Besuch mit einer Check-in-Anleitung sehr gut vorbereitet - und geben auch detaillierte Anweisungen für den Check-out.

Wir haben uns für diese Ferienwohnung entschieden, weil sie eine eigene Garage bietet. Im Prinzip eine tolle Sache, aber nicht für ein großes Auto. Das wird beim Rangieren knapp. In der Küche könnten die Tassen mal erneuert werden; es waren noch Spuren von Kaffee, Tee oder Kakao zu erkennen, die sich trotz Geschirrwäsche nicht entfernen ließen. Aus dem Bad kam ein muffiger Geruch, dessen Ursache wir nicht lokalisieren konnten. Vielleicht der Abfluß?

Al mio arrivo non funzionava il codice per l'apertura della porta che è stato riavviato da remoto a seguito di chiamata al proprietario. Il divano della sala era sporco e di cattivissimo odore. Appartamento posto al secondo piano, senza ascensore, in ogni caso la casa era ordinata.
