One week family holiday in Northumberland

The house is situated at a good location In Haltwhistle (near shops and restaurants), is spacious and has lots of nice details. The bedrooms are good (roomsizes, beds, tvs), the living room is good. Other rooms/area are a lacking some proper/professional maintenance. The contact with the host was by means of emails, which was prompt and informative.

Some rooms/area are a lacking some proper/professional maintenance Minor issue: there was supposed to be a hairdryer - we could not find Minor issue: we did not find a plug for the bath - but we could use the one from the kitchen sink (but thus not doing dishes at same time). Minor issue: there was no coffee making equipment at the property. Indeed, it was not explicitly stating it would, but I just expected it to be based on 'fully equipped kitchen'. Minor issue: some lightbulbs did not work or were flickering

Pretty dismal as the weather was bad with no tv.

The heating worked

The televisions are not set up and working,the fridge freezer still had packaging on and not cleaned,the front door had a new lock so badly fitted it had split the door,the sofas has buttons missing leaving sharp edges,the firm hosting it never replied to my phone call and email,the work that was done to the property was not finished and there was extension leads everywhere,the internet has to be paid for and there is no information in the property

Horrendous

The property wasn’t cleaned after the previous people . It was not in great condition at all. Was told cleaner would come and clean asap. Went for a meal returned 12am to find it still wasn’t cleaned. Couldn’t get hold of anyone for assistance. At 1am we managed to find a hotel at 1am. We had to drive 20 miles to Carlisle for y to he accommodation. Next morning g spoke with company who said the cleaner said she had cleaned it and someone must have broke in to the property. There was no way myself and my young daughter were staying there and feeling like we were at risk.

This property was shabby. I don’t understand why mail is being delivered to it.
