The house was ok but these improvements would have made our stay much better
The location and parking were good. This was accommodation only no food provided.
The key safe did not work well, it was extremely difficult to operate. We rang Sykes for help and advice. They would not help we had to sort it out ourselves. The heating was turned down low and the pressure gauge on the boiler was at zero. It was a fair assumption that the boiler required attention. We rang Sykes for help and advice and received no call back or assistance. Only one front door key was provided between three people. This was insufficient. No locks on the toilet doors.

Close to train station & bus stop. Ideal for exploring Hadrian's wall and its museums.
1. Television wasn't usable. Phoned Sykes Cottages for help. They couldn't contact owner ( in New Zealand apparently), so offered no solution. No TV!! 2. Obvious parking issues with neighbours either side of property.
