Nice and relaxing stay in a beautiful location.

Modern property. Clean and well presented. In a stunning location. Owners were friendly, were available if needed but left us to our own devices. Nice touch of having tea, milk and biscuits left to welcoming us on arrival. Couldn’t have asked for more. Also Polo was a legend :-)

Perfect stay

Ole Butt Cottage is the perfect accommodation for a stay in Cinderford. It is clean, comfortable and has everything you need, and more! Steph and Steve are wonderful hosts and nothing was too much trouble. A very short walk to the town and 2 lovely pubs, the Doghouse and Golden Lion-both a must! We will definitely be back next time we are in Cinderford :)

A really great stay

This was a lovely stay, plenty of space in the cottage and all I needed. Steph and Steve were lovely hosts, and made sure all was OK. I didn't end up cooking there but there (apart from simple breakfasts) but there was plenty there if you wanted to. The location is good. A short walk into town, and the Dog House and Golden Lion are lovely friendly pubs with a nice community, worth dropping by! A great location too for getting into the Forest of Dean.

Very hard to fault, all is well thought through. Yes it was a stay during rare and very warm nights in England. But there was a fan to keep air flow going and I slept well!

Great cottage to stay in for Forest of Dean 🌳

Great cottage in lovely location. Cottage was spotless inside and outside. Decor was modern and contemporary with a private decked patio with gas bbq. Some essentials provided on arrival and hosts were friendly and communicated well. Bed was extremely comfortable and we slept well, en-suite shower was also lovely! Kitchen was well equipped and short of nothing. Very relaxed stay 😊

Hard to find a minus point, being picky though, the stairs were very narrow but understandably so when you see the lay out. Not really a problem though for us

A perfect cottage for a short break.

The accommodation was lovely, it's a perfect stay for any events at Forest of Dean... Hosts were extremely helpful and thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Really very good. Excellent in fact

Excellent stay

Very comfortable, very quiet and peaceful. Bed was very comfortable and shower was lovely. Heating and hot water worked very well. Walkable to centre of Cinderford and to bus station. Fab views from end of road and central for visiting Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire and Wales. Excellent parking on site for one car. We stayed for 6 nights and there was everything we needed in the cottage except it would have been good to have a small freezer compartment in the fridge for ice cubes and ice blocks. Steve is an excellent host we didn’t meet Steph. Very welcoming and on site if any help required (not that we needed any). The box of chocolates and bottle of Prosecco was gratefully received, thank you.
