The apartment is ideally located not far from Piazza Bra, providing easy access to the train station and airport via bus and taxi. It was spacious, clean and well appointed. Having read earlier reviews, there was no issue with the front door and being able to lock it.

The apartment is located on the fourth floor and is reached via stairs or a lift. Unfortunately, the lift is small and exceptionally slow, so those with mobility issues or carrying a significant amount of luggage may struggle. It is marketed as having two large doubles, one double and a single room. In reality, there are two king size rooms which are more than adequate, a small double in a room containing a washing machine and sink with little wardrobe space (owing to the storage of spare towels, bedding etc) and a single room. At most, it would sleep six comfortably. Our biggest issue was with the air conditioning. We travelled in mid July with daytime temperatures in the mid thirties and nighttime temperatures in the mid twenties along with high humidity. The apartment is laid out over two floors. The top floor comprises the living, dining and kitchen areas shown in the gallery of photos. There was one wall unit which just about cooled the room. Stairs lead down to the lower floor comprising a hallway, all four bedrooms and both bathrooms. There is one wall unit in the hallway which is totally inadequate. The bedrooms were like ovens and this made sleeping incredibly difficult. One of our party slept upstairs on the sofa as it was cooler. Whilst the facilities shown include air-conditioning, it probably doesn't meet the expectations of most people.

Location and cleanliness.

Access to the property was confusing and difficult. Im not convinced you could get out of the apartment in the event of an emergency. Lack of aircon in bedrooms. Only the hallway and living room could be kept cool. The neighbours clearly dislike there being a rental apartment in the building particularly if you don’t like taking the lift which is tiny and daunting for children. Only one if set keys was annoying in a group particularly as so many locks to get through - one of which doesn’t work. Can’t lock front door. Have to rely on metal cage grill.
