Clean and tidy, the stairs are a bit steep but you get used to that, warm and cosy. Great location, just a short walk to the woods, the neighbours were very friendly and chatty 😀
The hob on the cooker was not great, but as we ate out most of the time it wasn’t an issue for us.

The owners gave an almost immediate response to messages. They provided clear and prompt check-in details. The property was warm, charming and there’s a feel of a home that's lived in with all home needs. Clean, comfortable and relaxing rooms through out.
Sad to say, kitchen knives either need sharpening or replaced. There's a lack of a stock pot. A smaller frying pan would be perfect.

We had a fantastic mini break in Long Lane Cottage. It was clean, fresh and comfortable! We didnt want for anything and thoroughly loved staying here. Beautiful well maintained enclosed garden for the dog.
The forest of Dean is beautiful with so much to explore and do. The actual village the cottage is in has very little so plan to drive out to eat or have in at the cottage.
