The soffa bed was really uncomfortable

Sofa bed had stains on it. We knew they were paint from reading previous reviews, but probably needs replacing.

The location was lovely — very quiet, private, and peaceful. I also appreciated having a fridge and microwave, which made things more convenient during the stay. Just a note for anyone planning to cook: there’s no stove, which wasn’t an issue for us, but it’s worth being aware of.

The pillows and duvet had a very strong damp smell, so unfortunately they couldn’t be used and will need replacing. The temperature was comfortable during the day after we asked the hosts to turn the heating on, but it was switched off at night. Without being able to use the duvet due to the smell, it became very cold. Cleanliness could be improved as well. The space was dusty, there were hairs in the bed and in the kitchen towel, and the bin hadn’t been emptied. While the inside of the toilet was clean, the seat and sink needed attention. The sofa also had a white-ish stain (hopefully just food), but the cover definitely needs a proper wash. I personally prefer not to have black or dark towels and bedding; had everything been clean and fresh-smelling, I probably wouldn’t have minded as much. With a few small tweaks, this could be a great stay. I really loved the rural setting and the sound of birds throughout the day, and I hope the hosts take this feedback on board.
