Nice house, great location, and our kids really liked having their own pool. We had a couple issues including the hot tub not heating and the ice maker not working, but these were eventually resolved. There was still construction next door as of Aug 10, 2025, but it was mostly indoor work. However, the crew was starting before quiet hours were over at 8, as evidenced by the sound of a table saw firing up at 7 am. We were also annoyed by the lack of supplies such as hand soap at all of the bathroom sinks, only 2 dishwasher and washing machine detergent packs, and only 1 roll of paper towels. We ran out of everything before our week was up. This seems to be a Vacasa hallmark, based on past experience. We were also annoyed that our beach lounger was right on top of our neighbors'. I don't understand why they can't be spaced out more...there's plenty of room in Carillon.

This is our 8th summer in Carillon and our 2nd time at this property. We really enjoyed our stay, but I do have a few suggestions! Please supply basic cooking spices. There wasn’t even salt and pepper. Also, a few extra blankets for the house would be nice! The linens for the beds are very spare. But with that being said, the proximity to the beach, the private pool and the overall comfort of the house can’t be beat! We’ll be back!

The home is in a gated community and this particular house is about 200 steps from the sand. It comes with two lounge chairs and one umbrella that is set up on the beach for you everyday. You can rent more from the beach hut on site. The house has a small pool and hot tub on-site, which is nice when you get back from the beach. Because it's kind of hard to understand the layout from just the pictures, I thought I'd explain in case it helps future renters. There are two king bedrooms/two baths up the main, wood stairs in the main part of the house. There's a door off the kitchen to a small breezeway connected to a door to the pool house that has a king bedroom and the bunk room. Those two rooms share a bathroom. You can access the pool from the breezeway. The spiral staircase just leads up to a smaller lounging area with a little water view. The house is well appointed, kitchen plates/serveware/utensils in good condition, and everything is labeled, including the light switches, which is always a very nice touch. There's a Keurig and a standard 12 cup coffee pot. The stand alone ice maker is a nice amenity! Washer/dryer is in a closet in the kitchen. The furniture is up to date and in good condition. The only hiccup we found is that there's only one house key provided, and that key is needed to lock/unlock the main house AND the poolhouse. It's a bit inconvenient when people are coming and going in different directions with only the one key for everyone to keep up with to make sure everyone can get into whichever part of the house they're staying in. Keypad locks on at least some of the doors would solve that problem and failing that, providing at least one more key would be helpful. And while there's nothing that can be done by Vacasa or the homeowners, we were disappointed that there was major house construction at the house in close proximity next door where workers overlooked the pool area. It caused a bit of a privacy issue and they started with saws and compressors between 7am - 8am and were banging on the roof and siding all day. A heads up at least that that was going on would have been nice. It was a nice for a week-long beach vacation for 6 and we enjoyed the house and the Carillon community as a whole.
