This rental was great for our group of 10. Oceanfront; great deck; and plenty of space for everyone.However, the rental agency (Carolina Retreats) was NOT great.This rental is a duplex. The morning after we checked in, a construction crew showed up to work on the other side of the duplex. Shortly thereafter, we started hearing a loud, methodic pounding noise that never stopped. We contacted Carolina Retreats and reported the problem. We also sent videos from inside our unit, which showed the level of noise. In response, Carolina Retreats sent us a quote from the rental contract which said they are not liable for construction noise from adjoining units. Carolina Retreats did NOTHING to help resolve this situation.Once I realized Carolina Retreats was unwilling to help, I walked across the deck to the other side of the duplex. I looked through the sliding glass door and saw two workers with sledgehammers pounding the tile floor as part of a remodel. I asked to see their building permit, but they did not speak English. However, they called their foreman and let me talk to him. I told him that the noise from the tile destruction made it impossible for my family to enjoy our vacation. He said he understood the situation and would tell his workers to do other projects in the duplex until we left on 1/2/2025. I thanked him and the workers, then went back to my side of the duplex. It was peaceful and quiet for the rest of our trip.

Loved the location steps from the beach. The kitchen had everything needed to serve Thanksgiving dinner. Only one suggestion, more seating in the living room. Seemed to have more seating in the apartment.
