Chambless at Ease is a truly relaxing oceanfront vacation destination. With an elevator, multiple living areas, and a lower-level game room, this unique home offers ample space to spread out, kick back, and have the time of their life. The two oceanfront decks span the width of the house with terrific views. A third tanning deck is at the top of the dune, and private beach access leads to the white sand below. On the way back to the house, rinse off in the outdoor shower. Dry your wet swimsuits on the handy clothesline hidden from view under the upper staircase.
On the lower level, the main entrance leads into a light-filled foyer. A private elevator transports you and your luggage to any floor. The garage bay is also on this level and includes a storage area that has provided beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, sand toys, and grills. At the rear of the bay, a game area offers ample seating, a portable stereo, a ping-pong table, and a refrigerator. An adjacent full bath adds convenience.
On the main level, find laundry facilities and access to the elevator. The open and spacious great room has many windows and a door to the deck, which boasts incredible ocean views.
The kitchen is chock full of cabinets and has a long breakfast bar with seating. A surplus of pans and cookware will please the chef in your group. Appliances include a refrigerator with an ice maker, smooth-top stove, built-in microwave, dishwasher, blender, mixer, double toaster, toaster oven, coffee maker, and teapot. The dining room has wood laminate floors and ocean-view dining at a long rectangular table surrounded by windows. Enjoy a home-cooked meal with a view that challenges most restaurants.
A small sitting area has comfortable furnishings arranged in view of the entertainment center. A narrow wicker table doubles as a desk, perfect for jotting a quick postcard. The top level has a second living area, elevator access, and an oceanfront deck - step through the sliding door to drink in the view.
The primary suite is just off the living room. Stretch out on the bed and enjoy the incredible ocean views. The private tiled bath has a dual sink vanity and a walk-in shower with two built-in seats and sliding glass doors. Two guest bedrooms also showcase spectacular ocean vistas.

Family and friends visited from California and didn't want to go anywhere but stay the house. There was plenty of space and the beach view was amazing. We loved everything about the beach and has now made us consider purchasing a beach house in the near future. Everything was organized and was very clean. Thank you Vacasa for being part of my family and friends great experience in the East Coast.

The house over all was better than what pictures show. Yes the furniture does need to be updated. We had a total of 9 people staying and everyone was comfortable. There was enough beds for all staying. The railing on porches were a little wobbly. The bunkbed on 3rd floor was wobbly also which for heavier kids could be concerning. We loved that we did not have to climb up and down sand dunes to get to the beach. My favorite spot is the porch swing. Great view of ocean from all adult bed rooms, both living rooms and kitchen. Kitchen does need new cookware such as pots and skillets and larger refrigerator. Overall Great stay and would stay again.

This is a beautiful home that is right on the beach with 3 decks and an elevator. It was perfect for our family.

Here you will find a functional, but un-updated beachfront house less than a 10 minute drive from all of the shopping near the island. The rooms are a nice size, the kitchen is large enough for a few people to work in and it has mostly everything you would want/need to cook all meals. The dining room is large enough for everyone to eat at the same table. The overall layout is great with a living room on each floor. There's plenty of communal areas for everyone to enjoy including multiple beach side decks. There's a small elevator which is helpful for load-in/out or if you have a family member with mobility challenges. The HVAC had no issues keeping up with the summer beach heat.
However, the property does not appear to have been updated in many years and thus everything is somewhat old including the mattresses which everyone complained about. Everything is functional, just not as comfortable as expected.
Some additional things to note: there are only 2 full baths on the top floor that 4 bedrooms have to share. One of the 4 full baths in the listing is actually on the ground floor off the "game room". Since no floor plan is available in the listing this detail isn't very clear in the photos. That bath has HVAC but the game rooom (garage) does not which limits its use, at least in the summer. With the exception of the master there are no TVs in the bedrooms. The wifi was very slow with poor performance which causes problems with a house full of mobile devices trying to stream video at night.
Pro tip: this has nothing to do with the house, but do not wait until 10AM to depart on Saturday morning during the summer or risk a 1-2 hour traffic jam as the entire south end of the island filters into one single-file line trying to enter the roundabout.
