Old Man by the Sea is a gorgeous 6 bedroom, 6.5 bath home that offers space and luxury for you and your family to regroup and recharge! This home is located on the Jinx Creek River, has incredible marsh views, and is the perfect place to watch the infamous Ocean Isle sunrises and sunsets.
This family-friendly retreat is thoughtfully equipped to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable stay for everyone. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower, and the master also has a standalone tub for easy access for all family members! We provide all linens and bath towels so you can pack light and focus on enjoying your trip.
From its private pool and smaller relaxation pool with an amazing view of the Jinx Creek River, to the spacious backyard area where the kids can run around and play, the outdoor space of this home will quickly have you falling in love! An outdoor shower makes cleaning up from the beach a breeze.
The house is also located in "The Resort of OIB," which grants you access to a beautiful oceanfront clubhouse and pool, private beach access, private bath, and crab dock all within a five-minute walk from the property!

Smart TVs are available in the unit. Guests may log into their personal streaming accounts (e.g., Netflix, Hulu, etc.) during their stay. Please remember to log out before checkout.
For security purposes, exterior cameras are installed at the garage/driveway. These devices record video and/or audio and do not monitor any interior spaces.
HOUSE RULES:
- NO SMOKING/VAPING ON PREMISE
- Minimum Rental Age is 30 Years old
- NO PETS
- Please do not use water balloons or chalk on the patio or driveway as they have caused permanent stains in the past.
- No deep fryers or fire pits are permitted for use on the property at any time.
- No Chinese lanterns or fireworks are allowed.
- Please do not move or rearrange furniture.
- No unauthorized parties or gatherings are allowed.
- No jumping or diving from balconies allowed at any time.
- No leaning or climbing on the balcony railings.
- Guests are responsible for supervising children and teens.
CANCELLATIONS & TRANSFERS: A guest may cancel a reservation and receive a full refund, excluding any administrative fee, credit card processing fee, cancellation fee, and any associated taxes on said fees that may have been incurred. Cancellation requests must be in writing (via email or letter) clearly stating cancellation of the reservation at least ninety (90) days before the check-in date. Cancellation requests within ninety (90) days of check-in date for any or no reason (including the failure to pay the final payment due 90 days before the stay), including inclement weather, will not be eligible for a refund of any payments made to Oasis Vacations LLC. All cancellation requests shall be submitted in writing and are effective when received and confirmed by the Agent. All transfer requests shall be submitted in writing at least (90) days before the check-in date and are subject to approval.

We enjoyed the location, a very easy walk or golf cart ride to the beach and restaurants. House had plenty of room for our group of 14 people. Felt like a home away from home.

We loved our stay at Old Man by the Sea! The location is perfect -- easy access to the beach, with private access to the dock and waterway out back, plus an easy walk to the middle of the island with restaurants, shops, ice cream, market, etc. The pool and elevator were a huge plus! The house is well-furnished and well-equipped to handle a big gathering, and my family and I had a great time. Thank you, Old Man by the Sea, for a wonderful vacation!

The house was all that we expected. It was clean, stocked well with diahes, utensils, towels, and everything else necessary. The rooms were perfectly sized to accomodate all of our family. A full bathroom in every room was one of the best features. The beat part had to be the pool and the view of the waterway. All around top notch. Would definitely stay here again if we were to come back.

VRBO misrepresented the swimming pool as a hot tub. The property management company did their best to heat it and apologized but it ended up being a warm pool rather than a hot tub. Fortunately the weather cooperated but otherwise it would have been unusable, and that was the main reason we booked this place. I did appreciate the sincere apologies of the manager, but my request for a follow up communication about receiving compensation was never done. So we won’t be renting from that company again. The house itself was lovely and great location.
