Large renovated air-conditioned gîte in the countryside with heated swimming pool 6 bdrms 15p

CLOS DE LAGALVAGNE was perfect. We were a family of 8 adults and 7 children and the facilities ticked all the boxes. The kitchen diner was large enough to sit everyone but we ate outside most of the time. It was clean, well equipped with shower rooms upstairs adjacent to the bedrooms and an ensuite shower and toilet for the ground floor bedroom ( which was not air conditioned but cool enough) with another toilet on the ground floor. It is in an excellent isolated location surrounded by fields and agricultural land yet close to Castillonnès (where there is an Intermarche with cheap petrol) and lovely French villages including Issigeac and Villeréal. Another bonus is that it is only 20 minutes from Bergerac airport which is very tiny. Everyone enjoyed the salt water pool which had steps at one end for little ones to sit or stand on. There is also a playroom with a snooker table and a table tennis table and darts board in a covered area outside with plenty of outside spaceThe owner was very welcoming, friendly and discreet and cleaned and filled the pool regularly. He also responded very quickly to the few minor issues that we encountered with the kitchen sink not draining or to replace the batteries in the air conditioning ( which was a game changer for sleeping at night) in the thermostat controller in one of the bedrooms.It is one of the best, if not the best, holiday rentals for large families that we have stayed in and we would not hesitate to stay there again.
