FIRS Sleeps 15 Stunning country house with hot tub

The property was beautiful, really comfortable and an excellent location. The host was easily contactable and helpful when questions were asked.

I booked it but I didn’t realise how rural the location was, we had a Tesco delivery which was great and Amazon found us but you really are about 2 miles past the middle of nowhere, but on the flip side, apart from a few agricultural vehicles doing what they do and a few people next door we saw no one for 4 days. The lawn at the front of the house became the new home of Crownders, a wonderful mix of cricket and rounders played by 15 people aged 3 to 90. The location bought back memories of family holidays 50 years ago, simpler times, playing games with bat and ball, a badminton net, a shady “pavilion” where the old ‘uns could sit and watch the young ones run around. My mother tells me today that she hasn’t laughed so much for years A quick 30 second stroll bought us to the back of the property with a gated courtyard (handy if you’re bringing dogs) containing a decked area with a large table and umbrellas, a games room with table football and a nicely shady wooden structure above the hot tub which was used a lot

Very little, it was the last day of the premier league and the TV needed some young person/ hot spot action and West Ham lost so maybe you can work on that for next time🤔🤣

The grounds and house were lovely. Location was peaceful. The hot tub went down a treat. Plenty of space for everyone.

The pots and pans could do with being replaced. The cooker the numbers on the dials have worn off so guess work on the temp.

1. No hanging space in best bedroom, only door hangers. Very inconvenient, a ridiculous omission for the price. 2. The stairway was a dangerous accident waiting to happen, the narrow steep stairs with a rightangled turn at halfway. It was missing wall guide rails on the turn, at the most difficult spot for the elderly. A cheap old staircarpet with threadbare holes just above halfway could easily trip a lady`s pointed shoe heel. 3. Outside, local countryside fenced off, several signs up saying PRIVATE. Narrow lane walking is possible but care needed.
