The cottage is located in Sudbourne, a wonderfully sleepy village in all the right ways. Think winding lanes, big skies, excellent pubs and that unmistakable Suffolk pace where nobody seems in much of a rush. You're perfectly placed for coast-and-country days out, whether that's mooching around nearby villages, long walks with muddy boots, or heading for the seaside armed with Suffolk's famous fish and chips.
Inside, this is the sort of house that instantly lowers your shoulders the moment you walk through the door. Full of character without trying too hard, the interiors strike that sweet spot between cosy Suffolk cottage and grown-up retreat. Exposed beams, soft natural tones and carefully chosen furnishings give the whole place a relaxed, welcoming feel. There’s plenty of space to gather together, whether that’s long breakfasts around the table, board games that get slightly too competitive, or collapsing onto the sofas after a day exploring the coast.
The kitchen has everything you need for slow holiday cooking (or unpacking take-aways). Upstairs, the bedrooms feel calm, comfortable and properly restful, with lovely natural light and charming little details throughout. The bathrooms are fresh and thoughtfully finished, balancing modern comfort with the home’s character.
Outside, the garden is one of those spaces that quickly becomes the centre of the holiday. Mornings start with coffee in the sunshine, afternoons drift into long lunches outdoors, and before you know it someone’s suggesting opening another bottle as the BBQ gets going. There’s plenty of room for children to run about, adults to properly switch off, and everyone to make the most of the fresh Suffolk air.
Please note: the garden is fully ‘enclosed’, meaning that the entire perimeter is fenced but at the front boundary next the parking spaces the picket fence is 0.9m heigh. Some bigger dogs may jump this if inclined.
There is off-road parking for one car at Plum Tree Cottage.

Please note that both bedrooms are located on the first floor and accessed by a flight of steep stairs. The property is therefore not suited to guests with accessibility restrictions.
