Please note: the apartment is only 13 square meters (I did not notice this when booking and relied on the photos). The photos do not reflect reality. They are taken in a way that creates an illusion of space that does not actually exist. The sofa shown in the photos folded is the only sleeping place in the apartment and is always unfolded. When unfolded, there is practically no space. Before my trip, I asked if there was a hairdryer in the apartment. I was told there was, but I could not find it. The studio has a strong unpleasant smell. In the bucket with kitchen utensils, we found an old toothbrush. There is a spider in the bathroom, dust in the corners, and mold in the shower. The window faces directly onto the neighbor’s window and a tiny courtyard well. The electrical system is unsafe — wires are sticking out of the wall, and a socket is pulled out. Access to the apartment is via a steep wooden spiral staircase, which probably dates back to Napoleon’s time. The key collection and return system is extremely inconvenient: keys are collected and returned at a bar in the city center, which is about a 5–7 minute walk. If the bar is closed, the keys must be slid under the door when returning. The hosts effectively ask guests to work as a free cleaner, performing “kindness tasks,” the list of which is sent through Booking: • Please clean the dishes, the traveler who takes over the apartment after you will be happy to find clean dishes. • Put the bed sheets at the foot of the bed and the towels in a pile in the bathroom. • If you have used the oven, please clean it. • Lower the temperature to the heater. • Remember to take the trash out on the sidewalk from 7 p.m. Pros: there is a coffee machine and coffee capsules, as well as olive oil, salt, and pepper. Very convenient location — close to the Palace of Versailles.

La propreté l'emplacement

Logement très décevant et non conforme à la description. Forte odeur de tabac froid dans tout l’appartement, surtout dans la salle de bain. De la moisissure visible dans la douche, avec une odeur d’humidité très désagréable. Le lit était en mauvais état, plusieurs lattes cassées. Beaucoup de poussière à l’arrivée. En plus de cela, il n’y avait pas d’eau chaude deux soirs sur trois, seulement un rouleau de papier toilette et aucun sac poubelle fourni. J’ai contacté l’hôte avec des photos pour signaler tous ces problèmes, mais je n’ai jamais reçu de réponse. Très mauvaise expérience — je ne recommande pas ce logement.
