Amazing gem in Castlemaine

Right in the center of Castlemaine, 4 mins by car to the nearest town of Miltown. So reasonably priced and the standard was so high. 3 double beds with cot, highchair for families. Even kindling ready for the bbq outside. Cathy and Niall could not be more helpful and accomodating

The apartment is beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped with enough crockery and cutlery for a large group. The grocery store across the road is very convenient. Castlemaine is a 20 minute drive from Killarney.

People with mobility concerns should note the bathroom is on the ground floor while both bedrooms are on the first floor.

Perfect house for family holidays

Me and my family of 6 people came to this lovely house for a day. House is sparkling clean, host is very kind and welcoming, she even accommodated an earlier check in and check out for us. House was with everything you can imagine, fully equipped starting from the kitchen ending with bathroom. Beds were really comfortable. In the heart of the village, nice to have a pint across the road, or eat some dinner in the local restaurant, or grab a fresh coffee from the store nearby. Best recommendations.

A little problem with parking, there's no private parking, but there's a street parking in the front of the house. When we first arrived, there were no spaces. In the hour time it was all free and we were able to park.

Comfortable, clean, and modern!

The apartment was meticulously clean and modern. The directions were very clear. The host left a small treat for us, which was much appreciated. Close to Tralee and various other cute towns. The little market across the street was nice for last minute items. We have teens, so did not need it, but I did notice lots of little touches that would be amazing for families with small children. Safety items, as well as small cots, toys, and a baby seat. Very wheelchair accessible, particularly the bathroom. (We did not need this but I need to note it for future visitors)

The little town didn’t have much. A market and a pub. Otherwise you’d need to drive to go to a bigger town for more options. This of course isn’t the fault of the host! But just a warning that this isn’t the kind of town where you could walk to a bunch of restaurants and shops etc. The directions about checkout and rules were very clear but quite rigid. I’ve not yet stayed in a booking.com rental with such an extensive checkout list. It’s easy enough- strip the beds, wash all the dishes and put them away, etc. but just a little more than we typically experience with bookings.

Not a good experience

We all like the place. beds are comfortable. toilet is huge but the owner blamed us for a part of the toilet fell off when we were less than 4hrs in his/her place. there is a shop across the accommodation which is good as well.

stated above, very bad experience after we checked out as the owner requested payment after less than 2hrs we left which i don't have any idea what is going on. it just stated we did not followed her checkout policy. We checked in past 6 in the evening and around 10pm a few of us were relaxing in the sitting room watching tele when we heard a loud noise in the bathroom. I went inside and seen a part of the toilet (mind you it is rear part of the seat) fell off. took a photo and messaged the owner thru booking.com msg straight away as stated in the policy. She answered me back stating she's going to check it. and now she's asking for payment as per her "clearly someone stood or sat on it". mind you all 5 girls are healthcare workers and we don't stand on toilet bowl/seat for hygiene purposes and as per my photo that's very weird it is the back part of the toilet seat. Just weird it will fall out in less than 4hrs of us checking in. I have the photo below! i tried ringing her but she won't answer nor ring back. We followed all her list of checkout policy including stripping off all bed linens, putting away towels in the toilet, cleaning all utensils and putting it back to cupboards, etc.

The lodging was well laid out with all the amenities. Although it was at a busy intersection, the rooms were quiet.

The Wi-Fi was hard to find and it would have been helpful to have a checklist on checking and checkout.

Loved our stay, would definitely stay again!

Loved our stay! Home was clean and a fantastic location. Comfortable and wonderful place to relax at the end of the day. Cathy was great with the recommendations and was attentive and ensured everything was well during our stay. Restaurant next door was perfect for dinners as we had no intention of cooking, and the little shop across the street was there for us for some pastries, hot food items, snacks and refreshments. Bonus was the post office across the road so we could write up and mail our postcards home. Thank you Cathy and Niall! 💚

Schön war’s trotzdem

Die Unterkunft ist sehr geräumig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Check in und Check out war völlig unkompliziert Von dort kann man zu wunderbaren Ausflügen starten . Deshalb können wir die Unterkunft empfehlen

Erst zum Einchecken wurde sehr deutlich erwähnt,das die Unterkunft an einer sehr stark befahrenen Straße liegt. In dieser Deutlichkeit hatten wir das nicht erwartet. Man kann quasi den Busfahrern und LKW Fahrern direkt vom Esstisch aus zu winken..Auch befindet sich ein öffentlicher Parkplatz direkt vorm dem Fenster ,und zwar wirklich direkt an der Wand,das macht eine Privatsphäre etwas schwieriger. Das sollte man wissen und überlegen,ob man das will Es ist laut - auch nachts .wir finden ,das war nicht so klar in der Beschreibung

Casa pulitissima, in una posizione strategica per visitare il Kerry, anche se fuori dai centri principali, e posizionata lungo la strada. C’era tutto il necessario per un soggiorno breve.

La posizione è al piano terra e primo lungo una strada di scorrimento che attraversa un piccolo abitato. Il bagno, pulito e funzionale, potrebbe essere migliorato (doccia con tenda e boiler ad attivazione manuale, ancorché istantaneo).
