OLD HERITAGE SHIBUYA

The host has literally thought of everything so make sure you check out the instructions before you go. Reading all the information made check-in seamless (especially knowing which room you are allocated with). We never met the host and had no need to. We loved the quirkiness and decor and the kids really enjoyed staying in the bunks. It's location is perfect for the Shibuya Scramble and Center-gai (Basketball Street). The property is a little tricky to find. If we didn't have sat nav there's no way we would have found it. Negotiating Shibuya station was a challenge so make sure you leave at the correct exit. The building itself is located down a small side street. Look out for the grey egg shaped building covered in netting on the corner - it's next to that!

The room was very compact for 5 of us. With our suitcases there was little floor space to move about. It isn't a huge criticism and didn't spoil our enjoyment. We know that for Tokyo it is quite a large space but we would have struggled to stay for a long spell.

The bathroom was very nice. Beds were comfortable.

It is too small for more that three people. It was very hard to navigate in the room with all of our luggage.
