About this villa rental
Villa Rocca Mare is a large, comfortable villa with a private pool and garden just 800 meters from the seaside of Castiglione della Pescaia, Tuscany. This house is perfect for a vacation with family and friends. At the beach there is a private wooden gazebo reserved for villa guests!
The villa has 5 bedrooms (all with air conditioning), 3 bathrooms, and 2 outdoor showers to comfortably accommodate up to 10/12 people. Up to 3 extra beds can be added (preferably for children under 12) to sleep a total of 15 people.
The large, well tended and completely enclosed private park is rich with plants that provide excellent privacy. It has a Zen corner where you can meditate in the early morning lulled by the sound of the water. Outside there are also two furnished loggias with table and chairs that are the perfect place to eat all together.
The beach is just a 15 minute walk through a splendid pine forest, or 5 minutes by bike or by car.
At guests’ disposal: private pool with gentle access steps (12,5 x 8 meters; depth 2 meters), furnished outdoor spaces with sun loungers, umbrellas, sofas and outdoor seating, completely enclosed private 5000 m2 park, outdoor area equipped with table and chairs for outdoor dining, large sunbathing area, barbecue, air conditioning in all bedrooms, 3 assigned reserved parking spaces.
Distances: Castiglione della Pescaia (shops of all kinds) 4 km, Punta Ala 17 km, Follonica 18 km, Uccellina Nature Reserve 45 km, Piombino 45 km (ferries for Elba Island), Livorno 110 km, Pisa 130 km, Porto Santo Stefano and Porto Ercole 70 km, Saturnia hot springs 80 km, Rome airport 190 km.

We - a family with 2 grown up sons - stayed in the house for almost a week. We mainly did sightseeing in Tuscany, a boat trip to Elba and spent a day at the nearby beach. The house is well equipped with 4 comfortable bedrooms, all air-conditioned (cave: they charge extra for additional electricity costs), a good sized kitchen and 3 bathrooms. The outdoor pool is spacious but is not heated. In early September it already was a little on the cooler side. The location is close to a private beach (you can walk in 15 min or take the car) where deck chairs and sun loungers were available from the owner's hut on the beach. The beach is very clean, nice and sandy, and you really can do long walks. The only disadvantage of the house is that it is adjacent to a busy road which can be disturbing when spending an evening on the terrace at the pool. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay in the area.
