The Old Hat Shop

This is a beautiful house and spotlessly clean. No dusty cobwebs in sight. Even the houseplants look well loved. Very dog friendly. Comfy beds. Everything we needed was provided and the coffee machine was a bonus. Parking right outside and easy to unload. The best holiday home I’ve stayed in for style, comfort, cleanliness and convenience.

Full of character with great attention to detail . Lovely and cool in a heatwave . Great little garden for sitting with a glass of wine .

The stairs were steep and only one toilet but it was a wonderful period property .

Parking was hit & miss, on the road outside, very busy popular spaces. The house was old and had stone floors which weren’t the cleanest so wasn’t great for our baby son. The stairs were so steep, almost dangerous so I’d be careful if taking youngsters/ elderly guests with you. The main road is super busy and extremely noisy so take ear plugs for bedtime. Avoid if you are wanting to cook a large meal/ Christmas meal, the kitchen is TINY and is not sufficient to cook a substantial meal.
