The cottage is a very good size, much more space inside than the photos give credit for, or how it appears from outside. The front twin / super king room is spacious and the bed / mattress topper extremely comfortable. Soft bedding and lots of thin pillows to choose from with freshly washed pillow cases if required. Effective, powerful shower. Although we didn't use lots of what the cottage kitchen was equipped with, it did look fairly well catered for if staying for more than a few days. Effective central heating. Yard walled with between 3 1/2 & 5ft high walls. Busy / vibrant village with house set on main road close to all amenities, bus route etc. Sofa and fire side chair in the living room was extremely comfortable.

Some slight improvements could be achieved by:- Lowering the TV on the chimney breast and rerouting the aerial cable through the wall to allow the window to close fully. Changing the TV to one that works without issue. Full cleans around the perimeter of rooms and edges of appliances / sinks. Resealing the kitchen worktops to remove mould. Side facing ground floor windows to be frosted for privacy. Patio door to have curtains fitted for privacy when it's dark outside and lights are on in the kitchen. The voile doesn't provide enough privacy. Outside light being fitted. Gate lock / signage at the rear of the cottage. Details on the listing to state that the rear yard isn't private and has shared access through from the side road to neighbouring houses. This would be key to know when the neighbouring house renovation is complete. Deeper pile carpets throughout, especially on the stairs with underlay fitting as floorboards underneath can be seen and felt currently. Clearing out of drawers and cupboards in the kitchen to make space for items guests bring or buy whilst staying. Smaller baking trays or foil provided. Dinner trays for carrying food from the kitchen through to the dining area. Information book on how everything works, where bins etc are. Renew the out of date fire extinguisher and mount it to the wall. Mount the fire blanket on the kitchen wall. Store garden furniture cushions, highchair and other occasional use items out of the way. Replace lamp shades in front bedroom. The bathroom could easily accommodate a bath as well as a shower. Hand towel holder to be fitted next to the bathroom sink. Things not liked:- Personally, I disagree with the use of overpowering plug in air fresheners as they make me ill. They mask smells and are a fire risk. Lack of plug sockets near a mirror in the front bedroom. High tog quilts on beds. Lack of pillow protectors. Cushions on beds.

Plenty of space, flexible sleeping options

The bathroom was tired, and the shower drain was blocked.
