Bowness Retreats FallBarrow Park

We had an amazing stay. The place was super clean from the moment we arrived, and you could tell real care had gone into getting it ready. It felt fresh, well looked after and very comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing break. The location in Bowness was perfect. It was peaceful enough to properly unwind but close to everything, so it was easy to get out and enjoy the lake and the surrounding area. Coming back to such a cosy, spotless place at the end of each day was a real highlight. A big thank you to Kevin, who was a fantastic host. His communication was friendly, quick and clear throughout, and his checkout instructions made leaving completely stress-free. It's clear he takes great pride in the property and in making sure guests have a great experience. We'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Lake District, and we'd love to come back again.

Honestly, nothing. Everything was excellent.

The property was spotless and had everything we needed. The location was ideal, it was a very easy walk into Bowness and close to all the attractions. The owners were very helpful and responded quickly to my messages

Caravan is in a great location. Near the onsite pub and only 5 ninute walk to the lake (which we took advantage of using our paddleboards) Lovely that that the caravan has private terrace area and balcony. Unfortunately we didnt have the best weather to take full advantage. Caravan was clean and inviting - had everything we needed. Designated parking spot is great too as easy to unload and pack up. Great location to get into Bowness which was greaf for the kids as it was a quick walk. Was a great break away and woule look to stay again.

We were asked 2 days before our arrival for a deposit of £100 which would be returned after we’d left if everything was ok. We left after cleaning everything and received a message to say we wouldn’t be receiving part of our deposit due to coffee stain on a tea towel and some hair dye on a bath towel. I find this pretty bizarre because we used the provided things for their purposes but was faulted for it. Perhaps suggesting to bring our own towels and tea towels before hand would have been useful so I could have received my full deposit back. Also a basic small white towel and a tea towel does not cost £30.
