Perfect short stay

We had an absolutely wonderful 4-night stay at Fallbarrow Holiday Park in Bowness-on-Windermere, and everything was just spot on! Our caravan was excellent – exceptionally comfortable, spotlessly clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed. It felt like a real home from home, and we were so impressed with how tidy and welcoming it was from the moment we arrived. The location is unbeatable: just a quick 5-minute walk into the heart of Bowness-on-Windermere. We didn’t have to drive once during our entire stay – perfect for relaxing, exploring the town, shops, restaurants, and the lakefront without any hassle. A big thanks to our host, Kevin – he was incredibly helpful, friendly, and went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect for us. If you’re looking for a relaxing Lake District getaway with easy access to Bowness and Windermere, this is the place. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again and would definitely recommend Fallbarrow to friends and family. Everything was perfect – thank you!

We booked for 4 adults and 4 kids only had 3 rooms which 2 of them really tiny rooms with 2 beds no chance of any movement within the rooms very disappointed.

Caravan was new, well equipped and clean.

We were asked 2 days before our arrival for a deposit of £100 which would be returned after we’d left if everything was ok. We left after cleaning everything and received a message to say we wouldn’t be receiving part of our deposit due to coffee stain on a tea towel and some hair dye on a bath towel. I find this pretty bizarre because we used the provided things for their purposes but was faulted for it. Perhaps suggesting to bring our own towels and tea towels before hand would have been useful so I could have received my full deposit back. Also a basic small white towel and a tea towel does not cost £30.

The location was fantastic for Lake Windermere and surrounding area, literally yards from the water. The facilities in the caravan were excellent and everything we needed for our 5 days.

Lovely lodge. Very comfortable and had everything you needed. Extremely clean and in a great location. Kevin was a fantastic host. He checked in with us to make sure everything was ok and gave us clear instructions on how to locate, get into the lodge and use everything. We had a fantastic break, made better by the accommodation and location.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay , & would definitely go back .

We have just come back from a 4nt stay at “9 The meadows “ and wow what a fantastic position , less than a one minute walk to the lake & jetty’s. We have been going to fallbarrow a couple of times a year for well over 20 years , & stayed at many of the caravans on site (usually booked through the main site ). This year we thought I would try a private owner “9 The meadows “was very clean & fresh on arrival , with a pleasant decor & decking for sitting out in the evenings🥂.Kevin our host was very helpful & responded very quickly to any questions we had , Overall a lovely caravan & excellent value for a three bedroom I will be definitely be recommending it to my family & friends .

Oven & grill a little on the slow side , an air fryer is provided, but we could probably have done with a bigger one as there were 6 of us , (I would probably take my own next time ).

Lovely caravan, everything you need, even a full size dishwasher & a helpfull host. This caravan is about 100m away from the lake shore so its brilliant for kids to feed ducks etc

Brilliant stay and great location

The location was good and close to the centre. The accommodation was clean and modern with good facilities, just a short walk from the lake. The communication with the host was very good with regards to any questions. A great holiday and would definitely recommend.
