Augusta Hut

We had a great time staying at Augusta Hut. We were visiting Elderly relatives who lived nearby. The location was a 15 minute walk to the ferry, shops and cafes, or a 5 minute drive. The hut itself was beautifully cleaned and decorated , with a little patio at the back. The hosts left some milk, chocolate and Whiskey which was a lovely thought. We would stay again next time we are in Auckland.

What a beautiful place! Augusta Hut completely exceeded our expectations. This architecturally designed luxury retreat is incredibly well-maintained, spotlessly clean, and filled with high-quality fixtures and fittings that reflect real attention to detail and thoughtful design. The (NZ 170 wide) King bed is one of the most comfortable we’ve slept in, completed by crisp cotton sheets, a proper duvet, and a gorgeous woollen throw. The shower was wonderful, quality bathroom products and the towels are thick and fluffy. The kitchen is uncluttered and well equipped, and the undercover private outdoor area is a highlight, overlooking a perfectly tended English-style garden. They’ve also thought of the little luxuries: organic milk in the fridge, excellent teas, fresh-ground coffee, a welcome chocolate, a wee dram of whisky, and a lovely selection of quality magazines and books to flick through. The WiFi was also excellent and reliable throughout our stay and the off street undercover parking was a bonus. If you’re looking for a high-quality, peaceful luxury escape, with added personal flare and touches, don’t hesitate — Augusta Hut is the perfect romantic retreat..

Everything! The communication was fantastic. The ambience, space , lovely touches like chocolate, organic milk, and scotch to try. Augusta Hut is a 20’ walk to the ferry, cafes and shops so we never used the car once we arrived there. I would have rated this accommodation higher if I could. If we ever came to Auckland again this is where we would stay.

We absolutely loved everything about this accommodation. It is in a lovely quiet area with traditional Devonport houses and is only 8 minutes walk to the town area and the Ferry Terminal. The accommodation is superb, spacious, immaculately clean, very comfortable bed, full kitchen facilities, excellent bathroom and a shower that you just need to turn on for warm water, not spend 5 minutes trying to adjust it, wonderful. All the utensils, furnishings, crockery etc are top quality. There is a lovely immaculate garden area with table and chairs for outside dining or relaxing. We cannot speak highly enough of this accommodation and would highly recommend.
