A quiet and comfortable stay in Belfast

It had plenty of amenities and a lovely view outside and served us perfectly.

There were some fruit flys around the house. I’m not sure if it was either from the plants or the bin but that wasn’t very pleasant.

Davide is a warm and friendly host, someone who takes a lot of pride in making a welcoming and inviting environment for boarders. Will definitely look to stay here again.

Good value for money, and a very nice host.

Davide is very friendly and communicative, and likes to socialise with his guests. The bedrooms are small but comfortable. There is a communal kitchen and living room which guests are encouraged to use.

There is only one bathroom, shared with the host and potentially another guest, which is downstairs and through the communal living room. This might put off some people.

Pleasant stay in a calm area yet close to the center

I had a great stay in Belfast and felt truly at home thanks to Davide. He was incredibly welcoming and flexible, which really helped make my trip smooth and comfortable. The house is spacious, well-equipped, and the room had plenty of space with a very comfortable bed. The kitchen had everything I needed for cooking, and the bathroom was clean and tidy. There’s also a terrace and a backyard to relax in, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I really appreciated the conversations I had with Davide—it was a pleasure getting to know him. The house is located in a calm, quiet area, which was perfect for resting in the evenings. It’s only about 7-8 minutes to the bus stop from where you can get to the city center by bus in less then 10 minutes, so getting around was easy. While there aren’t many services in the immediate neighborhood, it didn’t bother me at all. Overall, I had a lovely experience and would happily return.

Friendly host. He makes all the facilities in his house available. About a 20-30 minute walk to the city centre. Or 10 minutes via Glider bus route on the Falls Road nearby.

Not crazily cheap for what it was. Feels a bit cosy/intimate sharing all the facilities with the home owner, which isn't for everyone.

Could be much better

Instructions for using keysafe and getting in were straightforward. The host did communicate well. The use of kitchen was helpful, it was generally clean and tidy, as was the bathroom.

I have stayed in a homestay type property before. Unfortunately this one didn't compare well. The host wasn't there to greet me on arrival, they did apologise, but would have been good to have the initial positive start. It did feel strange to arrive with no one in the house. The bedroom was OK size wise, for one person. It could do with freshening up, although I liked the little painted table. I didn't unfortunately find the bed comfortable, for me the mattress was past its best, I did not sleep the first night at all. The night started off badly, i had been out for part of the evening, and returned to very loud music from the next door. The host again apologised for this situation. The kitchen was useful, but the very tired looking scourers for washing up were not great, it's the small things that can count. Also the bathroom is downstairs, not great to be coming down the stairs at night of you have to go, through the kitchen in your nightwear. Again especially as a female. This let to me deciding I would be best to change accommodation, in addition the area didn't feel great for a female on their own. This is quite a run down neighbourhood, the garden of the property was quite overgrown, it felt like the place was unkempt and just not that appealing. Not for me anyway!

My favourite place to stay in Belfast. Davide is a wonderful host who will make you feel at home. The rooms are comfortable and clean and it’s very easy and quick to travel to the city centre. Highly recommended if you’d like to explore Belfast and discover hidden gems.

Davide was fast to reply to requests like changing check in times for example. The train station is a short walk from the address. A warm welcome upon arrival from Davide. The property is a well kept home. The room and toilet was clean. One can be suspicious when booking a room at this price. You definitely get great value for your money. The garden space had a wonderful mountain top view. My special request to have a dog with me was allowed. This was greatly appreciated. Always fun bringing him along. Departing was fairly easy. Instructions are clear. The area the property is in was also nice. It really is great value for your money so if you're hesitant like I was just go for it.

A warm and welcoming home with everything you could possibly need.

Davide is a very warm and helpful host, he went out of his way to make me feel at home and provided lots of insider info about the local area and city centre. The house is very conveniently located for exploring and taking public transport, Grand Central Station is only a 20 min walk. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed. There was plenty of hot water and the kitchen is perfect if you want to cook. You will not find a better place to stay in Belfast for such a reasonable price, highly recommended.

If you have a mold sensitivity or just desire fresh air, stay away until Davide addresses the issues

It was nice that Davide allowed me to check in early. It seems that is standard practice when possible.

The dampness in the house was unhealthy. The first thing I noticed was how the towel in the bathroom smelled moldy. I went to change it out for another towel and it too smelled moldy. In polite and straightforward fashion, I asked David to provide fresh towels when he had a chance. I thought it was a simple ask. Instead he wanted to argue about whether the towels were moldy or not. Like typhoid Mary, Davide thinks if it doesn't bother him, it can't be a problem for anyone. Turns out, he's drying the linen and towels in the attic with heat from a skylight but no ventilation. So the attic turns into a steam room perfect for bacteria and mold growth. The bathroom is also poorly ventilated and there's no way for someone to shower without getting water all over the place. I wish I left after my first night, only Davide was resistant to giving me a refund and there weren't many other rooms available. Long story, longer, I ended up getting Covid as the other guest in the house had a "bad cold". I should have known it was Covid; there are no summer colds.

Great place to stay at this price.

I was just looking for a place to park, a comfortable bed and a hot shower. The room was very cosy and warm all night, parking is easy on this street and wash/shower facilities were very good. Communications with Davide were excellent and genuinely helpful.

Best host ever in Belfast

The house is beautiful, cozy, comfortable and equipped with all necessary amenities, a real Irish house developed in height, on three floors My room had a spacious bed overlooking the mountains, the bathroom is large, the kitchen is bigand equipped with a fridge specifically for guests. There is a small garden, a nice living room with large table and sofa, washing machine, television and a small attic where to can hang clothes. The neighborhood is nice, quiet, not far from the center and easily accessible from Europa Buscentre station. Davide was a very pleasant discovery, as well as the perfect host. He is always available for any need, he is kind, responsible and attentive to others, and he has been an excellent guide to Belfast. Thank you so much for everything, big love!!

BUEN ALOJAMIENTO!!

La habitación aunque pequeña estaba muy bien, la cocina y baños limpios y Davide hizo que nos sintiéramos como en casa. El barrio es tranquilo y merece la pena darse una vuelta por los alrededores. La distancia al centro se puede recorrer a pie perfectamente o coger un bus. Si vas en coche, se puede aparcar en la misma calle.
