Costa's OldTown House in Funchal

The location was fantastic, very nice to have a parking spot. So nice to have basic cooking items like olive oil, spices, tea and coffee. Great to have hosts nearby to help with questions and give advice. Liked the black out curtains. Loved the fans in the rooms. Very clean.

That little dog’s incessant barking in the neighborhood was almost intolerable. Not the hosts fault.

I would like to wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation. The apartment is located right in the middle of the entertainment/tourist part of Funchal with many bars, restaurants and more importantly the ocean within a short walking distance. The view from the windows and many balconies is nothing short of phenomenal and you will be able to enjoy beautiful sunrises and sundowns everyday. Furnished with almost everything you can think of, we were never short on any appliances during our visit, the kitchen especially surprised me with its amount of dishes, cups and assorted pots and pans. in short we wanted for nothing while staying in this cozy apartment and many evenings were spent in its large spacious living room. There is a large underground parking located under the building so keeping and accessing any vehicles is also made easy. Finally the owners deserve all the praise I can give. They were very helpful and understanding despite our flight being delayed, they showed us around, directed us personally to our parking space and even provided a welcoming treat in the form of fresh fruit and local pastries. I would absolutely recommend this accommodation both if you want a base of operations while exploring the whole island or if you just want a nice city break to enjoy the entertainment and cuisine of Funchal itself.
