Prospect House

It accommodated so many of us.

The dining table was set up already with plates and bowl place settings. Just a personal preference really, but I don’t really like this. It makes me think the place settings are just gathering dust, so to use them I’d have to wash them first. It also deterred us from using the dining table as there was no space at the table unless we moved all the crockery. This didn’t spoil our stay though.

The property was beautifully kept and presented. It was perfect for our weekend.

The lighting in the big living room was not very homely and cosy. It could have created more atmosphere.

The house is beautiful. Spacious and comfortable and in a lovely spot just in front of the duck pond. It was the perfect size for our large family group.

There was nothing to dislike about the house. The pub in the village has closed down and the garden centre/cafe has limited opening hours so it’s worth taking your own basic supplies.

The house was extremally cold, in fact more than cold. Took 2 days to warm the house through. We rang and the house keeper came out to check the heating, but still took 2 days to warm through. Due to this we spent most of the time in the kitchen. Dirty bin in one of the bathrooms - full of sanitary wear - not ours - very disappointing. One of the TVs didn't work - housekeeper swapped this over and we had to log in to out Netflix account or no TV to watch.
