Quiet and comfortable

The Arts and crafts Shepard's hut was in a beautiful quiet location. Close to York. Lovely and warm with a very comfortable bed. Everything we needed for our one night stay!

The cleanliness was a bit hit and miss. The general cleanliness was good, the bathroom was mostly clean just a long hair and toothpaste in the sink. Bedding had some stains on the pillowcases. The oven and fridge had not been cleaned out properly, crumbs in the oven and marks in the fridge. Just a few things missed. Also think the bed should have a mattress protector and pillow protectors on but that is a personal preference. Would of appreciated a number on the hut, none of the hits had numbers on so wasn't sure which one we were staying at.

Best business trip accommodation yet!

Beautifully clean, warm and cozy shepherd's hut in idilic location, just a 25min drive into the centre of York. Plenty of parking Stunning view that I enjoyed while sitting in bed sipping my morning cup of tea. Soft comfortable bed with different pillow thickness. Clean white cotton linen,. Ensuite bathroom with great power in the shower, soft fluffy towels and toiletries if needed. As a lone female traveller I felt safe and secure. Staff I encountered were friendly Top marks and I'll definitely be booking again.

I'm light sensitive and the lamp from the opposite hut was reflecting on the ceiling, I put my scalf on the top of the curtains and the problem was sorted. Not a problem for me but there's no microwave, but you have a dishwasher,. You can't have everything in a small space.

The sheperds hut was amazing. Lovely location. Easy check in.

We booked the white princess but was put in the RAF sheperds hut...But we didnt say anything as it was a nice hut. There was no hot water and we found a long black hair in the shower.

Excellent place to be

Everything about this place is so lovely. Very neat, everything is perfect. Very quiet environment, cosy and with a touch of nature . I would definitely come back again and again and I strongly recommend it. .

I don't think there is anything I don't like, everything was perfect, although I would have preferred they keep like tooth paste.

The attention to detail was exceptional. Everything thing we needed was there to make us feel comfortable, relaxed and safe. I would recommend staying there to anyone who is happy to be in a quiet cosy place.

Excellent themed shepherd's hut. Exceptionally clean and well fitted out with fridge, oven, powerful shower, good quality clean bedding and very comfy bed. Great location, felt away from it all and very quiet yet handy for local towns.

Whilst the self check in was easy we did think a site map, info on what to do if there was an issue (we discovered at 11pm that the patio door wouldn't lock) and some information about local area etc would have been useful (we discovered a notice board on site at 10pm but it was too dark to read it).

Lovely accommodation, price too high

Location is very secluded so no neighbours or noise. Shower was amazing 🤣 Huts quirky and well equipped

Onsight facilities was non existent. Would have been nice if we could have used the bar, however it's only open during weddings. Just Eat has no takeaways that deliver apart from a chippy so you need to be organised enough to bring your own food. Or the next town 10 minute drive has pubs and Sainsbury's. Hosts are nowhere to be found. Rooms needed a bit more dusting. Some switches and lights didn't work

Lovely and relaxing

Absolutely loved the property. It was fantastic and very well set out the only complaint that I would have is that the cupboards/ draws at the side of the bed had been missed by the cleaners and contained some tissues and a bag of half eat werthers original. Bought a quick wipe with an antibacterial wipe and job done it was a lovely stay very relaxing. Will definitely book again.

Like I said in the previous comment, just the fact that the cleaners had missed the bedside drawers.

Loved everything about this cute little stay. Location was spot on. Our Egyptian hut was amazing, never stayed in 1 before and this has made me want to do more. Definitely ideal for a couples getaway. Loved the different themes in each hut, very quirky. Very clean and everything you could want in 1 room.

Lovely little escape in the country side.

It's fun staying in one of this wagons. We were almost alone on the property which made us feel its our own. The wagons are set so everyone has some privacy. Well done. The wagons are spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom lovely and clean. Nice little escape from the buzz.

The property is in a great location

We were not provided the cabin we had chosen and booked. We had no hot water available on the day of check out. We had no information within the cabin on who to contact so I messaged via booking.com but did not receive a response til the Monday and we checked out Saturday. The reason given for the error for booking was due to them having a 170 people wedding and IT error. They stated they would check the cabin regarding the issue with no hot water. We received a response 2 days later regarding our complaint and were given a £20 discount if we booked again. The stay was £139.95. This discount would not cover even the petrol to get to the property. As the reason for errors being made was due to having a wedding then it does not fill you with confidence the errors will not happen again

Beautiful place, amazing views, shame about the outdoor seating

The hut was immaculate, beautifully decorated and furnished and very clean. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable. The toiletries smelled fantastic!

There was no table or chairs outside. We called reception who said we could take them from another hut which we did but they were very old and rickety and not at all comfortable. The the occupiers of the hut we took them from (with permission) came and took them back so that was awkward!

Perfect for a quiet restful break. Beautiful place!

Easy check in process, Location was fantastic and very restful (just what I wanted). The shepherds hut exceeded my expectations, absolutely beautifully decorated, large, very clean, luxury toiletries, well equipped and smelt lovely. A friend dropped by for a couple of hours and was blown away by how lovely it all was. The mattress - I just sank into it and had the best night's sleep. I was a solo traveller and felt very safe and secure there. I've recommended to all my friends who are thinking of a quiet luxury getaway and two of them have already booked!!

A perfect getaway!

Cozy hut. Comfy bed. Clean room. The Shepards Huts have all you could ask for, and the little lambs add such a sense of joy to the experience. The site has free Wi-Fi access, and a TV mounted to the wall which can be positioned to face the bed, or the sofa - perfect for a movie night. Plenty of places to park on-site. Definitely recommend for a peaceful getaway!

Unfortunately, the weather had let us down and we couldn't make full use of the beautiful decking which overlooks the field full of sheep!

The hut was very spacious. The outside is very deceiving! It was clean, had great facilities although the pans could do with being renewed as they were quite burnt, shower was roomy and hot, lovely outdoors which we explored, we even said that we have found our wedding venue. Truly lovely and great value for money. We had no outdoor seating when we arrived but the staff were quick and helpful at getting some to us. Thank you for a great stay!
