The location, the historical building/ interiors. Great breakfast, lovely staff.
My room was pleasant but a bit small and a bit basic for a 4 star hotel. Low shower pressure, hairdryer was missing.

The castle and grounds are absolutely stunning.
The room. It was call the the orchid. It was so small they had to put the tea/coffee in the wardrobe. I appreciate we booked a standard double but it was nothing like the picture we saw when we booked it. Didn’t use the kettle as it was so old, dusty had lots of lime scale and a broken kettle. The shower wouldn’t tighten so literally had to hold it to get a shower. Would not book this room again. Not what you’d expect from a 4 star and a cost of £150 for one night.

The environment was great. The trees and birds singing were fabulous.
We enjoyed the atmosphere and spa.
The mattress was not firm.

The location was excellent
The rooms are very dated and grotty, damp patches on the walls pealing paint, definitely needs refurbishing, no spoon for the tea/coffee.
