Quiet location, beautiful grounds and outside of ‘castle’

This country House, or Castle, could use a bit of time and money spent on interiors-
Whilst the entry feels somewhat ‘period’, the remaining couple of sitting rooms lack authenticity, could use a furniture refresh with a mix of period, vintage pieces and updated modern clinches or chairs.
Overall the rooms felt somewhat lacking in core furniture choices and lacked appropriate art, accessories or lighting that would benefit the overall ambience of interior rooms.
Updating the decor with a mix of old and new would match the interior to the exterior.
Any architectural details that are no longer original should be carefully chosen as to not appear plastic or out of place with the Castle’s history.
Bedrooms were adequate, however bed linens and especially pillows were not the quality one would associate with this type of hotel.
The Staff however, especially host Amanda, made the stay very positive and definitely increased the overall eating.

The building was very grand a shame I didn’t have time to explore as I’m sure it would be amazing experience as I live historic buildings and architecture
Very basic, old fashioned room with a castor missing off the bed base! 😂 not the end of the world.
