Would come again but with own wood! 😉

The house was spotless and lovely and clean. Lovely location and such a comfy bed which I’m sure was memory foam. This house was furnished tastefully and within walking distance of pub or food establishment

It was very small which we weren’t used to. Very tiny settee and kitchen which might not bother some. Also we were annoyed we couldn’t get fire going properly but seemed pointless buying lots of wood for one night

Felt like a home from home, everything you needed.

Cosy, warm, loved the character and the log burner. Loved the decor theme and attention to detail. Cara was very responsive to messages and made you feel like you had a go to if there was any issues.

Quaint cottage in great location for all village amenities.

Well situated with easy parking opposite. Kitchen is small but well equipped for a short stay. Decor is nice and homely and the bed was nice a comfortable.

It’s an old stone cottage with low doors, so as a 6ft guy I inevitably banged my head a couple of times but it can’t be helped.

Wonderful Winter Getaway

Maytree cottage is a beautiful little place, it had everything we needed and is located ideally for some great walks to the waterfall and surrounding hills. Excellent communication from with Cara before arrival but we didn't need anything during our stay. It was nice to come back and get the wood stove on after our wet walks, and the bonus of a well equipped kitchen for a nice evening meal. There are also two good shops in the village - we used the independent one mostly - a butcher's and a couple of pubs. Plenty of parking opposite so no issues there either.

Lovely stay

Wonderful stay here, very quiet and peaceful which was needed. personal details throughout the property were sweet and smile-inducing. Walked to the waterfall and back one of the days which was also lovely. Got very lucky with the weather too, only rained once which meant we could explore the area. Didn't get to check out the pubs but will do if we ever come back. Neither of us had any complaints at all :)

The location of this gorgeous cottage was just perfect. All the facilities within the village you could possibly need. A lovely friendly pub and also hotel. The fish and chip shop is excellent and is open from 12pm till 8pm every day. A cafe which we will definitely visit next time. There is a spar for everyday essentials and a lovely small independent village stores plus a craft/gift shop and a local butchers. At the other end of the village there is an Indian restaurant within a pub which has very good reviews. The fact that this cottage and village offers so much and the absolutely breathtaking Waterfall is in such close proximity made this an unforgettable short break. Hope to return very soon

Comfy cosy idyllic stay in a warm welcoming village

The property is cute and small but has all that you need. The lovely Woodburner is perfect on a rainy afternoon. The kitchen, although small, has all the amenities needed for cooking. The bedroom has a large comfy bed and decorated lovely.

Adorable place, loved the personality of the owner (without actually seeing anyone). Great location with helpful binder of local attractions and food options. Quaint in a good way - clean, comfy, and excellent value. It looked just like the pictures in the listing. We had great weather so we ate out front and people-watched which was fun - for us and, seemingly, the locals.

Helps if you are short and petite, but we managed. It felt cluttered so we stashed some stuff and put it back out on surfaces as we left.

Fantastic overnight stopover 😊

Everything! Absolutely gorgeous little cottage for our one night stopover from Tenby. Friendly village & a good location for some last minute sightseeing before heading back home to Manchester. Comes highly recommended. Thank you so much Cara 😊

Straight forward check-in. Clean, comfortable with lots of little extras to make it welcoming. Perfect location with adequate parking opposite the cottage.

There wasn’t anything to dislike. The cottage suited our needs perfectly.

I’m not used to a tiny cottage so felt too hot and claustrophobic. Stairs too steep for me . Have a pain related disorder and was terrified I was going to fall on the stairs as there was no hand rail .

The facilities in town weren't very plentiful and I had the misfortune to catch some on their day off. If I had been staying longer it would have been less of a problem, but for one night it wasn't ideal.

Location is excellent for visiting Powis etc. Highly recommend Indian restaurant in village " Little India" - food excellent. Very handy butchers with lovely meats & cheeses, good Spar shop in village. The cottage is ideal for a couple. Lovely to have wood burner for evenings. Very quaint cottage.

Shower & shower cubicle & table cutlery. Hot water is a bit tricky as on little water heaters. However would not complain as priced very reasonably & Cara would have to charge more to upgrade. DO BE AWARE OF GETTING CAUGHT OUT WITH CAR PARK FINE AT WATERFALL... we thought the meter had charged our card, only to get a £100 FINE when we got home, they must have cameras on you. our card said payment accepted, but did not print a receipt, left a note on screen, but card HAD NOT GONE THROUGH< SO GET RECEIPT FROM MACHINE !!! Very Expensive waterfall visit !

The cottage was clean and had all facilities. Cara kept us well informed. Only downsize was the bed.The mattress was really uncomfortable , it was hard. Do appreciate that different people like different mattress, but for us it was impossible to sleep on. But apart from this it was delightful.
