Magical winter stay

Lovely remote and private hut with magical surroundings. Loved falling asleep to the crackling of the fire and the sound of the stream and waking up to the most beautiful view straight from the window. The hut was more spacious than we imagined and very well equipped. Loved all the cute little gestures (hot water bottle, extra blanket, lovely chocolates and fun games) really made our stay. The walks are just stunning. Was lovely to see the sheep and friendly bulls, even got a welcoming lick! The hosts are really lovely and you can tell they genuinely care and are really mindful. Would definitely visit again.

Home from home. Set in a beutiful location, yet it is easy enough to get to. Being by a stream is a pure bonus. Lovely owners too. Love the framed photos of the sheep. Very proud.

The location is the absolute showstopper of the stay, I wanted remote and this was perfect! The stream, the animals and the log burner make this the most gorgeous place to recharge.

The most idyllic place to spend 24 hours

The cabin was secluded & completely off grid which gives you a real chance to reset from the outside world & relax in real time. The area is beautiful & really puts you at one with nature, allowing you to reset & relax. It was clean, welcoming & cosy & the owners even made sure the fire was up & running before we got there so that it was warm & cosy for us to get into. Animals were all very cute & the owners made everything so easy & saved us when we got stuck in the snow TWICE!!! We will be back in the spring!! Thank you :)

Remote location, peaceful, quiet and everything you need for a perfect night away. Host was very helpful with any questions we had and even offered to bring me and my wife back from the local pub if we decided to go out for NYE. Although we did decide to stay in for the night after a nice long walk around the farm lands with our dog, we had more than enough to fulfill our time and the log burning fireplace inside the hut is a nice touch.

Very scenic location , cosy and well looked after.. hosts had gone to great lengths to make me feel comfortable

The location is quite remote and roads are not great .. in poor weather a little bit of a challenge. I drove to location in heavy rain and pitch black and my Apple car play satnav brought me right up to front door. Hosts also gave good directions and photos.

Loved location, once found with thanks to staff at the local pub The Hand. It was absolutely idyllic, so needed the peace. I did go back to the pub for a meal, delicious. I really had such a peaceful stay. I had down loaded a few films, so I could watch something. Super place.

It’s the tiny things, needed more matches, needed to be told how lights worked and an extra blanket, I was end of season so slightly chilly. Was grateful to the wood stove,

Just booked a weekend away with the only intention to cane across the PONTCYSYLLTE aqueduct, and what a lucky find we ha

The tranquility - no phones, no TV, none of the usual trappings. All replaced with nature, a babbling brook, birds, sheep and…….nothing else. Bliss. Oh, and it was spotlessly clean with a friendly, thoughtful host 😊

Best Hut In Wales!

Everything, the location safe and secure beautiful views and scenery. This Hut did not disappoint, I loved every minute of my stay. From warm cosy evenings by the fire outside with the sheep, to stunning mornings with the views! And just being alone with nature, no signal, no phones just peace away from the busy world/ day to day life.

Quaint little hut set at the bottom of a valley on a working farm, fantastic scenery and farm noises

Location and scenery was excellent, off grid feeling, solar power for hot water and lighting, log burner for warmth as even in summer it got chilly overnight. Cards and a few games books etc left for entertainment. The hut might be small but the feeling of being closer to nature was second to none!

Perfect escape!

We had a very warm welcome from Laura and lovely to drive through their working farm. We were blessed with great weather so we chilled our drinks and ourselves in the stream! The hut was just so comfortable, had all we needed and was clean and fresh when we arrived. Enjoyed a relaxing switch off, played games, walked in the area...amazing. the host left us a charged Bluetooth speaker so had music while we relaxed in the evening. Particularly enjoyed the privilege of seeing the cows being moved down the valley and their sheepdog move the sheep. Thankyou for a wonderful stay X we would not hesitate to come back

Revived and rejuvenated after just one night, staying in this little piece of paradise.

Where to begin! The hosts were warm and welcoming, and very helpful. The Shepherds hut and cordoned off area was amazing, and withing breath-taking surroundings. I was snug as a bug with the log fire, and still enjoyed a wonderful walk with my little dog to explore the expanse of the farm, and see the beautiful animals inhabiting it. I will definitely book again and recommend to all my family and friends, looking for peace, in idyllic surroundings with nature abound. A wonderful experience I can't wait to have again.

Fantastic stay for a birthday trip!

We’ve stayed in quite a few shepherd’s huts and this was by far the best one we’ve stayed in. Having a hot shower in the shepherd’s hut was amazing! The log fire and fire pit made it so cozy, and switching off from WiFi was great. The surroundings are so beautiful, and waking up to the sound of the stream is incredible. We’ll definitely be back!

I love the sound of the waterfall when I woke up in the mornings. It was really nice experiencing solidarity after constantly being wound everyone in the city. I really enjoyed the time for experience peace.

Food for the soul

The hut was very welcoming and pleasing on arrival. Beautiful location , everything you need inside, little extras that go along way like having condiments, bathroom products, towels, wood, kindling, blankets. Even enjoyed the board games and reading the guest book. I love the stream running through the site and outdoor seating area with fire pit.
