We did enjoy our stay at Cynfaen.

Beds were good very comfortable.

Furniture needs updating. A smaller fold down table would be good. Also a more comfortable sofa. Too much furniture in a small garden. However Nick is the best host we have ever been to nothing was too much trouble.

A lovely town house which is well equipped and offers a comfortable stay.

There were restaurants and take away shops very close by. We would certainly recommend the Indian restaurant where the food was very good. The house is on three levels and is quite comfortable , has a well equipped kitchen and nick our host was very helpful and friendly.

Cosy quirky cottage

Lovely little house. So close to the village centre, but still nice and quite. It had everything you needed to prepare a meal plus Sky TV, internet speaker, fast broadband etc

The layout of the living room/dining kitchen meant watching TV on the sofa was a bit awkward, but we temporarily moved it which solved the issue.

Really enjoyable trip in a great location

The property had great character, very interesting features. Clean and welcoming. The owner, Nick, was extremely helpful and accommodating. Location very central to town and parking outside property was available. Our dog was made very welcome as well.

Perhaps could be mentioned by booking.com that it is on three levels and therefore might prove difficult for people with access issues.

The property was ok for us to use as base to tour Snowdonia.

Location in town close to shops and options for eating out or buying takeaway in the evening.

Lack of storage space, no wardrobe just one chest of draws between two bedrooms. No washing machine but the host did offer to our washing for us.

Great location,good parking, very pleased

The owner met us at the door with the keys, as he lives next door, great location for all the Welsh roads and attractions, the house is clean and warm, with everything you need for a short break, or longer, beds were comfortable and the house is equipped with everything you could need.

Lovely quiet house in a small rural village

Everything. The decor, the location, the price. We were looking for a quick, easy and cheap getaway that was dog friendly - and Cynfaen house delivered this and more. We are definitely coming back for another visit, in the future as this quiet village with lots of dog walking was perfect for our weekend escape. Admittedly we are a small family (3+dog) but this was perfect for us. It was wonderfully quiet, it is ideally placed for dog walking and accessible to lots of other places of interest. It is a perfect little spot to allow you to slow down and unwind.

If I had to say something, then low ceilings but you should expect it in older houses that are full of character. We are a tall family which doesn't help. Would it stop us going back, absolutely not.

Warm comfort spacious accommodation with excellent access to the Welsh hills.

Easy to find. Parking right outside front door. Well equipped house with nice outdoor space. Shops and food options all close by. Nick was a very helpful host.

Nice stay.

Property was nicely presented, could do with some updating but was homely with all amenities. Host was welcoming and advised if we needed anything not to hesitate in making contact; we did not need anything, but good to know. Knowledgable of the area and kindly provided milk for our arrival. Basic condiments and teabags available too. Parking right outside and lovely location A nice place to stay, but some gentle improvements would make it great.

Stairs very steep to basement and upstairs, which would have been ideal to know with young children. Basement / games area was fine but could do with some updating and cleaning, quite dusty and cobwebs all over. Living room sofa was okay, but uncomfortable to relax on. Beds unfortunately very uncomfortable, curtains very thin with early morning brightness.

very quiet location, easy parking and the cottage had everything we wanted

there wasn’t a cosy place to sit and watch TV bit that didn’t matter to us as we sat outside in the courtyard garden which was nice and private

Lovely relaxing break, just over the road from the vilage

Really cozy little home from home. Loved the cellar! It was 30° when we stayed and it was lovely and cool!! Loved the laidback feel of the place. We spent a lot of time at bala Lake, around 20 minute drive away.

Very minor complaint but a comfy sofa would have been amazing in the living room. Again very minor and not really a complaint as the sofa that was in there was adequate!

Nick was friendly and helpful, location was great, bedrooms, Kitchen and bathroom clean and comfortable and the Foosball table was fantastic entertainment.

The living room had charm but the layout was awkward and the sofa was very uncomfortable so relaxing in the evening was an issue. the cellar was very dirty which was a shame as once we had finished playing foosball you didn’t want to chill out down there. making a few changes would make such a difference.

Very Nice Stay

Great host who greeted us on arrival and showed us around the property. Kids loved the cellar with foosball table. Really enjoyed our stay and would love to return some time.

The house was quaint and quirky. I especially like that Nick had Alexa set up so we could enjoy any music of choice whilst there. He even left milk in the fridge for us which was a nice touch and was at the property to meet us when we arrived . We had everything that we needed and the duvet covers were very nice. Easy walk around the corner to convenience stores and cafes.

I think a couple of speakers downstairs would have been great as the speakers only worked upstairs so we could only use Alexa upstairs and the entertainment area was downstairs. There was a CD player but we did not know this so did not have CD's with us

Lovely part of Wales

Lovely part of Wales and the host was very good, whatever we needed he got for us. Would be good for young couples and families without small children.

Not very toddler friendly, suggestion to swap the couch and the dining table around so you can watch the TV with a clearer view. And also a comfier couch to relax on.

Exploring Wales

Great location to explore Wales, excellent host and made us feel welcome. Space to park your car and easy walking distance into the village. Enjoyed our mini break and would visit again

The sofa was a little uncomfortable as wasn't able to relax in the evening. Also is in an awkward position to watch TV. Wasn't able to move the position of the TV as it was a fixed bracket to the wall, so we moved the the sofa instead.

Quirky property in a brilliant location for shops takeaways walks a the harp is fab for a beer. Nick is really helpful. We had great fun with the Alexa dot. Brilliant choice of TV channels and lots of board games.

More attention needed when cleaning. The place needs a deep clean. Tiles by bath were filthy. Lots of dust throughout.

The location is excellent, Nick was really friendly and helpful. Upstairs was comfortable. Facilities were great, tv with netflix, Amazon prime all fantastic.

Cyfaen house

We felt very at home there. Nick was very accommodating and helpful giving us ideas about how to make the most of our stay. The children really enjoyed the football table. It was right in the heart of Corwen so we could benefit fully without the weather holding us back.

Superb

The host couldn't have been more helpful. House is a really good spot and all amenities close by. Beds were really comfy and we had a great nights sleep. The WiFi was brilliant and TV channels kept the children entertained in the evening. Everything we needed was there. There was a lovely walk within minutes of the house.

Our only criticism was the fact that there wasn't a comfy sofa to be able to relax on in the evening. This would have made it perfect for us.
