The apartment was spacious and comfortably accommodated three people. It was exceptionally clean, and the amenities were exactly what you’d expect for a comfortable stay. The air conditioning worked flawlessly, which was especially appreciated during the summer. We chose this property because we wanted to stay in Rome while remaining close to the airport, and it delivered on both. The location is outstanding for anyone visiting the Vatican—you simply can’t beat the convenience. The neighborhood is also very walkable, with plenty of excellent restaurants, cafés, and shops nearby. Having parking directly next to the building was another major advantage, making arrival and departure much easier.

Parking next to the building is limited, and if those spaces are full, finding street parking can be very difficult due to the heavy traffic in the area. I would recommend identifying a nearby parking garage as a backup before arriving. The apartment also faces a busy main road, so there is noticeable traffic noise well into the evening. It wasn’t an issue for our one-night stay, but light sleepers or guests staying longer may find it bothersome.

The styling of the place was to our liking, we loved the washer and dryer, which allowed us to pack much lighter for the trip. Being right next to a very busy intersection was not nearly as disturbing as one might expect, as Rome generally gets a lot quieter after midnight, compared other major city centers we have visited. So don't let that scare you off. Also, the apartment guest book contains recommendations to nearby good restaurants and other bits of useful information and inspiration.

The rules of the apartment forbade running the AC while out exploring the city, which means we could not cool down the heat-soaked walls (all brick and stone, stores a lot of summer heat) and thus we needed to run the AC all night to keep the rooms from cooking us during the night. I get that electricity is not free, and minimizing it's use is good and proper and all that, but still, during vacationing I prefer to raise the luxury level a bit. Also, and this could be a cultural thing (so this might not matter to you), but all towels and other rags for wiping surfaces with seems to have been washed/treated with a detergent/fabric softener which seems to repel water - making drying yourself after a bath or wiping a counter top surface a very tricky task. You just push the water around, and the fabric refuses to soak it up. Very odd.
