The cottage was spacious overall, it was clean, and the terrace is a nice addition. The property is at a nice location generally. The kitchen is well equipped, and the living room is comfy.

While the general location is nice, there are issues: first of all, the property is misplaced on the map (despite the correct location is mentioned in emails). Parking can be a struggle, if someone needs to park nearby. And the cottage is at one of the busiest parts of the village (i.e. loud). I think one roll of toilet paper for four people for two nights isn't realistic. Soap dispensers were effectively empty. While there were enough towels provided, they had a musty smell. Some of the cutlery and mugs weren't properly clean.

Brilliant Location

Gorgeous cottage in the heart of Castleton. Lots of character, very clean. The 2 bedrooms and bathroom are downstairs, the kitchen and lounge ( all open plan) are upstairs. The kitchen has everything you need. Stunning views from the lounge window overlooking the back garden, roof terrace and hill behind. There is a car park across the road, we didn't have any issues parking. Will definitely be back
