It was very well decorated and very tidy. The owner was incredibly responsive. She even came late at night to help us figure out a few of the amenities (tv, blinds, lightbulb that was missing upon arrival). It was a long walk from the city center, but it was right near a bus stop with direct access and the walk to town was very pleasant. It was located in a quieter part of Helsinki with less tourist noise and distraction. They provided towels and linen and there were a good number of seating options. It was easy to arrange an early check in for a fee and to find the keys/check in and out. The shower is better than others we have experienced because the drain is located in the shower and there are full glass paneled doors. The three rooms were also very convenient for our family of four adults and they each had their own version of privacy. There is a working elevator in the hallway that was incredibly helpful for luggage considering the apartment is on the 5th floor.

One of the things that was most tricky was that the apartment is FILLED WITH GLASS OBJECTS. It is beautiful decor, but makes moving a round very dangerous for fear of breaking them, especially when traveling. Additionally, THE WASHING MACHINE IS NOT IN THE APARTMENT ITSELF. It is a communal washing machine. The kitchen was a little bit dirty and there was a lot of food left over from other guests. The bathroom is incredibly tight and the glass doors for the shower are a little scary to open and close. They can get very close to the toilet and the counter. The bed in the main bedroom is very low to the ground for those with trouble squatting and there isn’t a true door. Only a sliding glass door with a curtain. Some of the curtain did not work and there were many small cracks/areas of wear and tear. We made sure to take a video as the owners are very worried about damage.

Everything was excellent- the host herself welcomed us! She has designed the house very well, makes one feel at home. It has everything a family would require. Excellent connectivity to the town. The park / forest behind the building (accessed from the parking itself) is beautiful. Wonderful stay!
