Drift Cottage - Fisherman's Cottage Brixham harbour

Beautiful house, perfect location, couldn't have hoped for more. We were two adults and two older teenage children, more than enough space to be together when we wanted to be (late night cards in the courtyard), or apart (most of the rest of the time.. ). Whole house was comfortable, clean and well equipped, kitchen is small, but as stated in listing very well equipped. Bathrooms again excellent, bedrooms large with comfortable beds. It is an old quirky building, couple of head bangs here and there to much amusement of the family, and I somehow perfected falling up the stairs, so even at my venerable age I learned a new trick. Location is amazing, 3 minutes down the hill to the harbour, 4 or 5 minutes across the town car park to get to high street. Thoroughly recommend the walk up to the breakwater beach and sea pool, both have great places for food and drink. The Manor pub nearby is a nice spot for an evening drink. The teenagers both loved the house and Brixham, both want to return in the future,, so for us parents that is as good as it gets. Hosts responsive and very helpful, thank you both.

Nothing. Being August parking was tricky, but not impossible. Once I'd got my bearings I bought a car park permit and parked to the left of the harbour in the long stay. The permit was valid in council car parks in Torquay and Paignton as well so worked out really good value. Like I say free parking was there if you really want it, but with me being lazy it was easier to know where we were parking and I could leave the car in one place for a few days and forget about it..

Brilliant location , cosy and clean.

No washing machine, noise from the local pub.

Beautifully renovated fishermans cottage. Very close to amenities and the harbour. A great little courtyard garden. Exceptionally clean and very well presented.

Be aware of low ceilings and doorways if you're tall. Steep stairs. The Manor pub nearby can be very noisy late in evening.

Great location, close to all amenities. The property was very clean and welcoming. The hosts left us with some lovely treats

The stairs were very steep but we got used to them.
