Bluenose

Everything! It is a walkable distance to the beauty, history and liveliness of Old Quebec (less than 2km, with some incline). Being slightly outside the main tourist area, its location provided an opportunity to explore a local neighbourhoods’ restaurants, shops and services, which we really enjoyed, Four of us stayed at the Bluenose for four nights in August and were fortunate enough to discover a street party with local vendors, services and a DJ (Thursday), and a small farmers market at a local park (Saturday). Many people were lined up at the Taqueria and St. Sauveur ice cream shop - so they must be good! The layout of the apartment was ideal for us. The photos are an accurate representation of the apartment. It has been recently renovated, thoughtfully designed, incredibly clean, well-appointed and made for a very comfortable stay. The owner was an excellent communicator, their instructions and expectations were clear and they immediately responded to any questions we had. We are so happy we had the opportunity to stay at the Bluenose and thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

We liked everything, but for those who may have mobility concerns - the main door opens directly to a set of stairs up to the apartment. It was not an issue for us (active in our mid 50’s) and it’s clearly how many homes in this area are built. Just something to be aware of.

Place is lovely inside. Lovely location.

Not really a great option if one smokes. No balcony or anything. And stairs to go up/down to smoke. And we were given out to for doing this. So i'm not sure how one can smoke at all.
