Location was amazing

Pillows were too full (personal preference) Unit was very hot - but we were also there during a heat wave.

The location is superb, literally 2 minutes walk from the main hub of Bruges (and Da Vinci ice-cream parlour - not to be missed!), but the street is very quiet, so you don't hear any hussle and bussle. Instructions for entry were very clear, and host Chris communicated really well about what to do on arrival and what was available to enjoy at the property. Our accommodation was at the top of the house (Van Gogh room), and absolutely delightful, beautiful period style and décor, but with all the facilities you could want and many considerate touches - plenty of quality coffee and tea, biscuits and sweets, very comfy bed, good shower, a TV with Netflix (if that's your thing), plenty of towels, toiletries, plenty of sockets. Very clean and well maintained. Chris lives in the house and opens the front room and dining room to guests, with treats (cake, chocolates, crisps) waiting for us and other guests on arrival, and a comfy sofa. Honestly, there is nothing that we didn't like. Stunning town house, wonderful host.

There is is nothing we found fault with. Everything was available, and I'm sure if something had been missing that was expected Chris the host would have sorted it out. We knew what to expect and the experience surpassed expectations.

The property is well located. The room was comfortable and fairly well appointed.

There’s no breakfast… And it is called a bed-and-breakfast. 😬 We requested to leave our bags early in the day when we arrived in Brugge at about noon. They did not allow us to do that thus we needed to store our baggage at the station while we walked around Brugge for the afternoon. Then we had to walk back to the station and retrieve our bags and take an Uber to the property. I call that an extra cost of about $45 plus the inconvenience of going back-and-forth to the station. My husband fell on the bottom step of the staircase and sprained his ankle. It wasn’t a complete sprain, and I was able to treat it with ice (that we bought), anti-inflammatory meds and some supplies provided by the host. Two months prior to our visit, I requested to decrease the number of nights. We had reserved from 3 to 2. I was told I was not possible and I needed to pay the entire three night fee. I’ve never experienced that before, nor did I see it noted in any cancellation policy on the website. The cost when we were staying three nights was good but when you break it down to only two nights the value was not great.
