It’s a little east of town and so quiet and easy to find. Plenty of space for kids to play outside!
I didn’t realize there wasn’t a dryer so boots were a little hard to dry once wet but we figured it out.

Het huisje was meer dan we hadden verwacht. Alles was keurig netjes , er was ook aan alles gedacht. We hebben nergens “naast” gegrepen,
Alles was aanwezig, zelfs een sleetje voor de kinderen. Het was heerlijk. Zelf kunnen koken…
Wat blokken hout voor de openhaard… alles stond voor je klaar.
De bedden sliepen ook heerlijk. Wifi aanwezig. Je kon zelfs wat streamen naar de tv, voor als de kids even uitgeput waren van het spelen in de sneeuw
We hebben echt genoten van ons verblijf, en zouden dit huisje zeker aanraden bij anderen.
Het warm water wordt aangeleverd via een grote boiler. Het is dus kort douchen. Maar, als je bedenkt dat in veel faciliteiten douchen en wc buiten zit, is dit echt een luxe dat je dat in je eigen huisje hebt.
Korter douchen is ook nog eens beter voor het milieu 😉

Overall, we really did enjoy the house. As a family of 4, we stayed there just after Christmas in winter. It was very cozy, clean and well equipped. There was enough amenities in the kitchen, which was handy. The house was also very well heated it was never cold. What you need in winter!! There's also a nice fireplace. Note this house is about a 10 minute drive to the town of Kiruna. It's also very close to a beautiful lake, which is frozen in winter - spectacular. You definitely need a car, so hiring a car is essential.
The lighting in the bedroom was a bit dim. I found the host nice enough, though a bit dry in some of the answers, and it took a while to respond to some questions. The shower was a bit poor, but the worst was the hot water tank. It was not enough for 4 people, so you had to take showers at different times, bit inconvenient. Also, there were no instructions for the washing machine/and plugs between the hot water boiler and washing machine - pretty standard and common sense for a host to provide for travellers. Why wouldn't you just explain it easily on a laminated sheet of paper? Instead, we're trying to second-guess and waiting for responses. Also, a bit of warning: the house is in a bit of a semi-isolated area. That part is fine. But trying to find the house at night, in winter, with a car rental is a bit daunting, as a foreigner who is not used to these conditions. The 'street' is very tight, as there is snow and ice all around. And even with Google Maps, it was tricky finding the street and house in the dark. Kiruna gets dark after 2.30pm in winter. I found it very odd the host/owner didn't explain the position of the house in more detail.

The location was beautiful. Away from the city of Kiruna so only useful if you have a car. But it was so beautiful that we could just see the auroras outside our window. Has all facilities needed for a few nights in Kiruna.
The hot water is the biggest problem. Every 2 showers with limited use its empty. And then there is no hot water even in the sink. Big problem when you are with 5 people in the winter. Also the property is relatively old now and it is visible everywhere.
