wonderful tipi tent stay in winter
I stayed in the laavo/tipi tent and absolutely loved it! It was very cold (-25C) that night but I survived :D. The tipi has two heaters: a stove and a gas heater hooked up to a thermostat. I loved everything about the lodge: the coziness of the tipi and cabins, the friendliness of the staff, the setting within the pine trees, close proximity to reindeer, the cleanliness of the facilities and the dinner. I didn't have a chance to get breakfast but I'm sure it was lovely.

Absolutely amazing
Location was beautiful beyond words, very good breakfast, very nice staff, tickets to the museum were included and also feeding the reindeer, they offer transfer to their restaurant at dinner time.
Very good spot for watching the aurora and there is also a sauna and hot tub included.
Bonus: in winter, you can walk across the river to Nutti Sami Sida museum and the route it’s much shorter
They can order you a taxi or provide transfer if needed
The toilets and showers are in different buildings which might be difficult for some people. Also, the showers and changing rooms don’t really provide full privacy
The location is not very accessible

I love that they have reindeer on the property!! It was so magical to be able to feed so many reindeer in the mornings.

If you want to see the northern lights and stay in a very unique atmosphere. Go here.
What a property! So unreal. So comforting. Very very different from your usual stays. Please do yourselves a favour and go here. We were able to see the auroras and also see them dance right within our stay
Nothing to dislike. Perfection.

Great location for northen lights but too expensive for what it is
Great location to see the northen lights, it was very pretty and we were able to pet the reindeers. The breakfast was good, and they prepared the sauna and the hot tub.
The toilets and the showers are outside and when there is -14 degrees outside and more people staying in the hotel it is not the best. Also dinner was included but it is not in the hotel, they take you with a van to the city center and you have dinner there. There is a menu from which you can only choose one dish, and for the amount of money you pay one dish is not enough. We were hungry.

Great experience but not best value for money
The staff was very helpful and tried to accommodate us when we had issues. We got a free transfer every day to dinner location and back to the Lodge. We were staying in the Chalet (with private eco toilet and sink but no running water, there is a shared shower with sauna and hot tub, a „notmal“ toilet is available outside on the property. Breakfast is exceptional!
! You need to know how to make a fire ! - especially in winter (we had -20 degrees), otherwise you will be very cold!
The wood for fire goes out very fast, so you constantly need to add wood to keep the fire going (every 1-1,5hrs). This is not ideal for cold nights in the Chalet! One night the diesel heater stopped working and fire obviously went off in the night, so we ended up sleeping in -3 degrees. (We didn’t think about calling the emergency number..). The next morning we were offered to move to another chalet. The heater reparations started immediately. We also were offered to get a starter and a dessert as a compensation for the cold night.

Wonderful experience in the woods but sometimes cold
Great location in the woods with the possibility to feed the reindeers
Cosy cabin
Great spa outside
Great spot to see the northern lights
Great experience to have booked half board and eat dinner in the Sami tipi
Breakfast tipi was very cold one day
A bit inconvenient to get out in the cold to the bathroom

Reindeer lodge beyond expectations
We LOVED Reindeer lodge. Tula's warm welcome and info on their reindeer, where to see the northern lights, the location was gorgeous and so quiet. We were so lucky to be there on a night of full on northern light activity. We had the glamping tent, with its wood burning stove, made it super cozy. The beds were super comfy ( slept so long We almost missed breakfast!) The buffet spread was filled with so much food and variety, we were still full at lunch. The spa and sauna were an added bonus. Everything warm and cozy.

A nice stay in a clean and cosy cabin near Kiruna.
Very cosy cabin with a comfy bed and clean interior. Free of charge sauna and free entrance to Sami Museum. Friendly staff. And reindeers around! It's my third or fourth stay and hopefully not the last one.

A cosy location for viewing the northern lights and meeting the reindeer
Secluded location, good place for viewing the northern lights as there is not a lot of infrastructure around the property and very minimal light pollution.
Reindeer close by that you can interact with.
Short walk to the lake. Cute rooms, fire places make the cabins incredibly warm and cosy.
Note - if you want to use the sauna you need to get a fire started yourself in the sauna room.
School camp vibes with the shared facilities, but everything was clean and wood well stocked.
Booked/paid the Sami tents but were notified the day of arrival that this option was not available and were booked into the cabins instead.
The kitchen facilities were closed / there was no access to guests although the accommodation website and booking.com indicated that these were abailable for the guests to use.

An amazing unforgettable magical place
Amazing scenery, we were amazed... we saw reindeers, stayed outside around the fire, and experienced the Northern light just above us. All magical. Staff are amazingly kind, and breakfast was a truly unic experience that we will treasure forever. Thank you 😊
It was all so perfect

A nature-close, beautiful, and—in a very positive sense—intriguingly unique place to stay.
The breakfast, made entirely from local ingredients, is fantastically delicious. This place is filled with magical love. The hosts are kind, attentive, and respectful of personal space, quietly making guests feel at home. They have created a natural environment perfect for solitude or spending time with friends. Guests have access to everything they need—kitchen, sauna, washing facilities, and joy-bringing reindeer.

Quiet and cosy lodge in the lapland with a great wood sauna and breakfast!
Quiet and cosy stay in the lapland. It's equipped with a great wood sauna. Breakfast was nice at their teepee style lodge. We also had free access to the nearby Sami museum in Jukkasjärvi, which was very interesting and informative.

Cozy, friendly, authentic, tasty. Would definitely come back!
We loved it. Located next to the lake, under the trees and right next to the reindeer. Very cozy, super friendly, dinner was fantastic! Shared facilities like toilets, bathroom, sauna and hot tub were clean and also cozy. Feeding the reindeer while learning about their role in the ecosystem was definitely a highlight (don’t skip!) and we loved how friendly the animals were. Great value for money! Great everything!
Activities are somewhat expensive (though that holds for the entire region) and you need to book them in advance. Facilities are shared which we didn’t mind, but be aware of this so not to be disappointed.

Magical location, splendid experience and kindest staff
Waking up in the snowy forest with the reindeers, eating a delicious breakfast in the traditional Sami tent, spending the day on the river, hiking, dogsledding or biting the Sami museum and then eating dinner at the restaurant (included in our stay). And topping it off with an evening at the campfire and sauna, spotting the auroras. Absolutely magical and the staff was so kind, so welcoming and accommodating, helping us with logistics and sharing their knowledge of Sami culture.

Glamping in Swedish Lapland with reindeer and the Aurora.
Upfront, one should appreciate that Reindeer Lodge accommodation is essentially glamping - I didn't fully appreciate this when booking. We stayed in a Goahti, a modern Sami tent. The tent was suprisingly warm (with a diesel and wood heater), and there was a rather quirky but functional eco-toilet. There is more space in the tent than one might expect - but not much place to put things. Be aware that you will be walking from your tent/cabin to the showers/sauna, and also to the breakfast tent. The breakfast is very good, and dinner at a local Sami restaurant is included.
The location in Swedish Lapland is exceptional.
We'de like to really thank Daniel and the staff for their kindness when my wife had a freak accident - they kindly took us to the A&E at the local hospital some 20+ minutes away. (Fortunately, we were able to continue our travels, and she's recovered well).
We were travelling quite heavily laden, as we were continuing to a conference in Stockholm. A few more places to pack things out would be great,

Fun, but costly and a little rough around the edges
Very friendly staff. Liked warning up in the sauna. Well-located for the lake and river. Cute reindeer. Good dinner in the restaurant.
Rough around the edges. Very pricey for what you get. A little tricky to get to.

Magical stay in a magical place!
We returned to the Reindeer Lodge seeking more magic, and boy, did we find it! Swapping the Superior Chalet for the Chalet (simply to experience both options, and both turned out to be just as good!), we enjoyed crackling fireplaces, reindeer sightings galore, and those incredible dinners (still dreaming of that salmon!).
The staff continued to impress with their warmth and cultural knowledge. And the shower building? It wasn't just a washroom – it housed a heavenly sauna, the perfect post-exploration treat. Two stays might not have been enough, but they were undeniably perfect. Unfortunately, we may be short on interior photos because we were too busy soaking in the charm, which, trust us, photos simply can't capture.
We would definitely recommend the Reindeer excursion for a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
Until next time, Reindeer Lodge!

Falling head-over-heels for the Reindeer Lodge!
Sandra and Filip here, still smitten with the Reindeer Lodge after our magical stay! We originally planned to stay just one night, but let's just say, two nights later, and only pre-booked trips elsewhere dragged us away! (If we could, we would probably still be there now!).
From the warm welcome at reception to the moment we spotted reindeer frolicking right outside our window (yes, Reindeer!), this place had us hooked. The staff? Superstars! Every single one was friendly, helpful, and so knowledgeable about Sami culture. We wanted to shout out each name, but seriously, everyone deserves a standing ovation!
The two rooms we tried, the Superior Chalet and the Chalet, were both gems in their own right. Charm oozed from every corner, making it hard to pick a favourite. Breakfast in the cozy reception, complete with a crackling fireplace and followed by reindeer feeding, were a highlight. Then came dinner... wow! We ended up eating at the Sami Museum (part of the Lodge) every single night, even when we ventured to other hotels! The included dinners were a delicious bonus, and the food (major props to the chefs!) was simply phenomenal. Add to that the warm atmosphere, crackling fire, and -20 degrees outside? Pure bliss!
And did we mention we loved that the Lodge is Sami-owned and (largely) staffed? Learning about their rich culture was fascinating and eye-opening, once again thanks to the friendly staff.
Reindeer Lodge, you stole our hearts! Thank you from the bottom of our mugs (filled with Sami hot chocolate, of course!). We'll be back, you can count on it!
Unfortunately, we didn't rent a car. Although the staff were always kind enough to drop us to the Sami museum/restaurant, the place is quite remote, and the taxis are expensive, so if you plan on moving between Jukkasjarvi and Kiruna, it is a good idea to come by car if you can!

A great authentic experience with amazing staff.
Firstly - if you can't live without Wifi, then you'd be best just to stay at home - this is not what Reindeer Lodge is about.
If you're after 5 star accommodation, then find somewhere else because staff are not here to be at your personal beck and call.
Staff at Reindeer Lodge are amazing - we always felt welcome and part of the family. Our room, although small, was very cosy and clean. To keep the park an authentic experience, there are 2 communal (very clean) toilets, as well as a communal shower and wood fired sauna.
When leaving, you are asked to strip your beds fold your bedding and put your bedding and pillows on the lounge to make room turnover quicker for staff. As well as looking after the rooms, staff are also responsible for looking after the reindeer, preparing meals for guests and working at the Saami / Reindeer village at Jukkasjarvi. Staff work long hours and very hard.
Breakfast was a really nice Scandinavian style Smorgas, it was great to be able to go in and feed and interact with the reindeer - let them come to you...
You can also borrow some cross country skis or snow shoes to go for a walk on the lake.
Reindeer Lodge is about a 5-10 minute drive from Jukkasjarvi and a good alternative to the Icehotel.
We recommend staying at Reindeer Lodge.

Lovely one night break in our road trip through swedish Lapland !
Very quaint, clean and quiet in the summer. I’m sure must be very beautiful in the winter. The stay in summer includes a free entry to the reindeer and Sami village which was fun for our children.
The outdoor toilet and shower facilities are clean and not too much of a bother, especially since weather was mild
Lovely staff , and great breakfast in the morning
We booked one tent and one cottage. The tent was difficult to sleep in, since it had an opaque top where light flooded in at night
