About this villa rental
This charming Tuscan stone villa is located on the breathtaking Pisan hills at just 5 km from the medieval village of Chianni. Surrounded by luxuriant green countryside and olive groves, the villa has a fenced garden with a swimming pool (12x5 m, depth 1m60, open March-November) and a furnished pergola with a barbecue for al-fresco dining.
Originally a farmhouse, the villa is situated in a quiet location which enjoys breathtaking views over the hills extending in the distance towards Volterra. Lovingly restored, today many details within the house retain the magic of its past such as the long, cypress wood table made from a tree on the property, or the original ceramic tile stove in the kitchen.
The villa covers 210 sq m, is built on various levels and accommodates up to 9 guests. On the ground floor, there is a large living room with fireplace, SAT-TV and original barrel vaults, a spacious fully equipped kitchen (fridge-freezer, oven, dishwasher, microwave, espresso coffee machine, American coffee machine, kettle, toaster) with the aforementioned tiled wood stove and the large dining table, access outdoors to the furnished pergola perfect and a wood-fired oven where to cook your pizzas, and a large bathroom with shower.
On the first floor, there are 4 double bedrooms (one also turns into a twin) with air conditioning and mosquito nets. Possibility of adding a single bed to one of the rooms. 2 bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms (4 steps lead down to them) and 2 share a bathroom. All bathrooms have showers and hair dryers.
Amenities: Wi-Fi, also at the swimming pool, all bedroom windows have mosquito screens, smart TV, Bose sound system, 1 cot, 1 high chair, courtesy line in all bathrooms, private covered parking area, pets allowed on request.
Distances: at just 5 km from the nearest village, Chianni, where you can find food shops, chemist’s, bars and restaurants. 11 km from the spa town of Casciana Terme, Volterra and Pisa at 31 km, San Gimignano at 40 km.
Price includes gas, water, electricity, bedlinen and towels, pool towels, final cleaning,Baby bed, Wi-Fi.
Not included and to be paid on location: Damage deposit € 500 (cash), air conditioning € 0.90/Kw, Heating € 5/cubic meter. Tourist tax , Bedlinen /Towels change € 10/person, additional cleaning € 200

Excellent villa and very well equipped. The pool is lovely and the bedrooms are a nice size and everything is of a high standard and very clean. Francesca is very responsive to any comments. Because of the heatwave there were a lot of flies but a call to Francesca resulted in a very speedy garden treatment. The scenery is fantastic and would definitely consider again.

Beautiful home and property in private setting. gorgeous views wherever we looked. House was immaculate, and in very good condition. We needed some assistance with operation of entry gate, heat, and washing machine, but managers were very responsive and handled everything promptly and professionally. Francesca is a gem as a manager. she provided welcome basket of coffee, wine, pasta, and other goodies and gave us an excellent orientation when we checked in. Kitchen/dining area very comfortable and well -stocked. Bedrooms and baths also very comfortable. Living room is huge and tremendously comfortable. A totally terrific house and a good base for trips to Florence, Pisa, Carrara, Viareggio, Torre Del Lago, Lajatica, Castelfalfi, and Siena. very challenging to drive in the local hill towns like Chianni, but doable with some patience and care. One of our best vacations ever.

The villa itself is very beautiful. The pool is beautiful. We were promised the air conditioning, but the power went out every time we put it on so we had to contact the host and she had to arrange an electrician coming three times because the first two times they didn’t fix it right. The stairs are treacherous in the villa. I fell and broke my leg. So no, I did not enjoy staying at the villa. Francesca, the host was very nice, but she forgot to bring back our security deposit when everybody checked out. I wasn’t there because I am in the hospital. she said she will deposit it in my account. I hope that happens.
