About this villa rental
La Capanna is a restored farmhouse with a private swimming pool located on the same estate as Villa di Montelopio, in Montelopio little hamlet where the guests can find a bar bruschetteria and a traditional restaurant called Cantina di Serravalle where to enjoy excellent local food. La Capanna is a fitting vacation home for families who wish to enjoy the laid-back atmosphere of the Tuscan countryside. From La Capanna and its large, exclusive garden there are spectacular views of the surrounding area with the characteristic colors of cypresses, olive trees and vineyards. The fenced private swimming pool is ideal for families with young children. During the hot summer days guests can refresh and relax at the pool, located just a brief walk away from the property, in a very peaceful position.
For those who prefer exploring Tuscany, the main attractions of our region are easily accessible: Volterra, Florence, Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano and Siena. For golf lovers the medieval village of Castelfalfi with its renowned 18-hole golf course is just a 15 minutes drive away.
For music lovers the village of Lajatico famous for its Teatro del Silenzio is approximately half an hour away.
The caring staff residing in a separate section of the same estate is available for any wish or assistance.
Cleaning service is included 9 hours per week.

We have made many trips during our vacation but it was always nice to come home to our holiday home. La Capanna was a perfect base for exploring Tuscany.

The villa was quite basic but absolutely fine as most of the time was spent outside in the beautiful gardens and pool area. The outside terrace area was perfect for al fresco dining. The staff were very friendly and looked after us very well. There was a little bar/grocery shop just a few mins walk which was very handy indeed. We saw incredible butterflies, dragonflies, bats, hummingbirds and snakes!! An idyllic holiday in a beautiful part of the world.
