Whether you want to relax on vacation or explore the surrounding area—you can do both here. Our swimming lake is located in the Tannenhausen recreational area and has been rated the most beautiful and cleanest swimming lake in East Frisia. The private sandy beach is right outside the door of our vacation home. At the lake, you can rent pedal boats, canoes, beach chairs, lounge chairs, and bicycles with accessories. And refreshments are also available. Since the summer of 2016, there has also been a water ski/wakeboard facility there. Not far away, the town of Aurich (approx. 6 km) invites you to take a stroll through town and enjoy many other recreational activities, such as the De Baalje water park and the climbing forest. It’s not far to the North Sea coast with its beautiful islands. From Tannenhausen to Norddeich, to the ferry to Juist and Norderney, or to Emden, to the ferry to Borkum, the distance is about 35 km.
