The property had beautiful views out onto Grindelwald, equipped with all the kitchen equipment and amenities you could need and is around about a 10-15 minute walk from Grindelwald Terminal. The owners were lovely and were quick to reply to any queries.

Although very near the train station, for those not driving, and arriving by train, the hill to the property is very steep, which wasn’t an issue for us as we brought backpacks, but for those less able, it may be a bit of challenge although if your happy to wait there is a bus every hour.

Clean and cosy perfect for two people

I normally sleep with just one pillow at home, but the bed pillows were extremely flat, almost like lying directly on the mattress. I asked for an extra pillow, but unfortunately the host was unable to provide one. This didn’t ruin our stay, but it did make sleeping a little uncomfortable.

Das Studio ist super gelegen (Nähe Terminal und Bahnhof Grund) und mit Bussen kommt man schnell auch ins Dorfzentrum. Das Studio ist modern und praktisch eingerichtet und war sehr sauber. Wunderbar als Ausgangsort, um die Jungfrauch-Region zu erkunden. Besonders hat uns der Racletteofen in der Küche gefallen:)

Die Küche ist insgesamt tiptop ausgestattet, aber ein paar Grundlebensmittel (wie Pfeffer, Öl oder Tee) haben gefehlt. Ausserdem ist der Weg zum Studio sehr steil, was bei Eis zur Challenge wird (gute Schuhe einpacken ist ein Muss). Aber alles Jammern auf hohem Niveau.

The view from the studio was excellent and the terrace allowed us to admire it. It was very clean. The hosts lived above/beside the property but they respected our privacy. The fact there was free parking is rare for the area and it was invaluable to us. The studio was very modern inside. I live in a studio myself but it still felt like a holiday because it was so nicely renovated.

I am more accustomed to firmer pillows, but the bed in general was comfortable...more of a personal preference than criticism. A sieve/colander for the rice and pasta would be useful.
